Hanna left at a little after eight. By eight thirty the kids were in bed, and Emily enjoyed a glorious few hours in Alison's bed.

The blonde caught her arm when she tried to get up to go at a quarter of midnight. "Stay. I don't like it here without you. Hanna probably won't come in until after two, and there's no reason she'll come up here when she does."

"Uh-uh. Either we tell her or we don't. Setting ourselves up to get caught is just beyond tacky. She doesn't need that and neither do we."

"Sometimes you're too damn reasonable," Alison grumbled.

Emily chuckled and cuddled in close, just for a minute more, nuzzling the blonde's chest, with her perfect blonde curls cascading down her shoulders. Alison's cleavage teasing her as she covered herself up with the sheets. Oh how she wish she could stick around and maybe follow down her favorite trail down to her destination. Again.

Alison tipped up Emily's chin and kissed her. She savored the moment. And then, with a playful shove, Emily rolled away from her girl and out from under the covers.

Alison braced up an elbow and watched as Emily pulled on her jeans and shirt. Her big blue eyes, silvery in the lamplight, sent a shiver down the back of the brunette's knees.

"Don't look at me like that," she chided.

"Like what?"

"Like your thinking about all the naughty things you're going to do to my body."

"But I am thinking of all the things I want to do to your body. Come back here. Let me show you."

Some how, Emily made her bare feet carry her to the door. "Night," she whispered as she slipped from the room.

Her bed felt huge and empty with just her in it. It took her a long while to get sleep. She wondered if she and Alison were doing the right thing to make a secret of what they had together. And she marveled that everything about what she had with her felt so good and real and right. As though they were perfectly suited, each to the other. As though this was a love affair that would never wear itself out.

Saturday night Hanna went out again. Emily and Alison stole some precious time alone.  The brunette left Alison at midnight for her too-empty bed, where she lay awake again, missing her girl, though she was just down the hall - missing Alison and hoping that this thing between them would never have to end.

Was she being ridiculous? They'd only been lovers for a while.

Didn't matter.

She knew her own heart, she knew she was falling. Falling hard.

And scary-deep. Fuck.

Easter morning, Sinuhe and Pam arrived at ten thirty with a big basket full of old-school dyed eggs, a cake and a few dozen cookies, plus an array of side dishes to go with the prime rib roast Emily would serve for the main course later that evening.

Emily and Alison helped the sisters bring everything in from the car as Emily tried not to let nerves get the better of her. She dreaded that her mother might start in about the "smokin' hot" chemistry between her and Alison. Especially now since they've done it.

But Pam never uttered a single embarrassing word or cast Emily so much as a meaningful smirk. She must have actually meant what she'd said last Sunday night - that what went on between Emily and Alison was nobody's business but their own.

Sinuhe kept the kids entertained while Pam, Alison and Emily hid the eggs out in the backyard.

Emily loves every moment of it. She couldn't wait for her babies to run around excited. Looking for the eggs. She loved this.
