I'll Be Loving You.....Forever

Chapter 24

As I sit next to my husband, I look around to see all our friends & family in one place, happy & enjoying themselves, talking, laughing & most of all sharing in our happiness. Jon has done an amazing job organising the turn around from the ceremony to this. The table decorations have incorporated the candles that lit the aisle, there's more candles, fairy lights & flowers everywhere. The chairs are all mismatched, which just added to the beauty.

All through dinner, Jordan & I have some form of contact, holding hands, touching legs, his hand on my back as his arm rests on the back of my chair.

As the champagne is starting to be served for the speech's, I excuse myself & give Tarryn the nod to come with me. As I stand, I notice movement in the corner of the room, I look at J
"What's going on over there?" I ask him
"Nothing for you to worry about my love," he reassures me.

Once in the safety of the ladies room, Tarryn & I look at each other & scream!
"Oh my god, I can't believe this has actually happened!!" Tarryn exclaims "You're dream has actually come true, sis"
"I know, I still can't believe it," I say holding up my hand examining my wedding band "Thank you for being here for me & always being there for me. I love you so much, sis."
"And I love you too," she replies, pulling me in for a hug & planting a kiss on my cheek.

We head back into the marquee & I notice a piano has been set up. I look over at Jordan, who winks. 'Oh fuck! I know what he's got planned & now I know what Danny picked up' I think.
I take my seat next to him & whisper "what's the piano there for there?"
"Never you mind," he smiles.
"J, you better not have planned what I think you have planned!"
"Don't know what you're talking about" he winks

The speeches begin. Dad thanks Jordan for his generosity, his family for allowing them to stay & looking after me, he goes on saying about my dress & everything & finishes with:
"When we took our 9 year old daughter to her first concert to see these, never did we think it would end here. Jordan, you are a true gentleman. All we ask is that you love & care for our daughter always.
Ladies & gentlemen, please raise your glasses, to the bride & groom."

Jordan then stands, thanks my dad, bridesmaids, his best men & hands out the gifts we have chosen together for them all. He toasts me & the bridesmaids. And then he drops the bombshell as he walks round from the table to the piano. He sits behind it & looks at me.
"Vicki, I have one last thing I need to say to you, there's just one thing missing. Danny, if you please"
Danny walks over to him, carrying the hat. My heart leaps into my mouth, 'Shit, what do I do now?!' I start to panic. I shoot Tarryn a look (she's the only person who knows about piano night),  within seconds, she's by my side. My hands are under the table gripping onto my chair, Taz grabs my hand & squeezes it. She whispers "Deep breaths, count to ten"
I want to scream at her "That's easier said than done!", but instead, I nod & try to calm myself.

I look back at Jordan, who is now wearing the hat & looking oh so fucking sexy. It is taking all my strength not to leap over the table & pull him on top of the piano. He looks at me, winks & smiles, "Mrs Knight, this is for you"
He begins to play, I'll be loving you. As he starts to sing, my heart feels like it's going to explode with love & happiness, whilst deep inside me the fire starts to burn. With all the emotion building inside me, I begin to cry. I feel Tarryn's arm around my waist giving me the strength I need not to fully break down. My dad hands me a napkin to dry my tears & holds my hand.

Jordan finishes & everyone stands to applaud him. He walks back to me, takes me in his arms & holds me. His strong arms, holding me close, his smooth, sexy voice soothing me, his lips gently kissing the top of my head. He is my safe place.

The guys all add their little bits, Jon welcomes me as a sister, the others welcome me to crazy world of being the wife of a New Kid. Then at the end of it, Donnie announces that "It's time to party!!!"

Jenny grabs me arm & hauls me to the bathroom for an emergency make up fix. She sorts me out.
"Wow, how the fuck can you cry your eyes out & still look so beautiful?" She says
"Because I have an amazing friend, who can work magic with make up!" I laugh, giving her a huge hug.
"Hey, Jen, did you know about the song?"
"Nope, Donnie never said a word to me about it. What's so special about it anyway?"
"Long story, I'll fill you in one day".

We head back to the party. Just as it's announced that it's time for our first dance.  After a huge debate, we kept our choice of song to ourselves. Now I know the reason why Jordan didn't want I'll be loving you, we settle on 'Better Together' by Jack Johnson.
As we stand in this middle of the dance floor, all I can see is my whole world stood in front of me. He takes me in his arms as the music starts & leads me around the floor. Despite all the 'oooo's & aahhh's' coming from everyone, we only have eyes for each other. As we dance, both of us begin to feel that same passion & desire start to ignite.

It's getting close to midnight, the party is still going on. The older members of the families have left. I'm stood outside, looking up at the stars, when I feel the familiar touch of his arms snake around my waist. I lean back into him,
"J, I'm tired. Can we go home please?"
"Of course we can. There's a car waiting for us, whenever you're ready"
"Let's go & say good bye then"

We say our goodbyes which felt like it took forever, get in the waiting car & head home.
