It took only weeks before the Blazer was seen slowly rolling through the front doors of the station again, to some surprise of the rest of the vehicles working that day. Despite everything they were told, most reversed away from her as she slowly drove to the main office, all looking at the fangs that shone in the office light. She stopped once in the office and barely glanced back as she shut the door with a rear tire. John just chuckled as she did this, looking her over before calmly shutting his computer down.
"Great to see you back at full health, beast," he stated with a smirk. Jaslo gave him a neutral frown and a huff.
"How about just callin me Blitz? I get enough of that from the guys up front," she replied with a groan.
"Well, you have much larger fangs, and they are rather bright! Hard for anyone to ignore that." John slowly drove around his desk while Jaslo took a moment to run her tongue over her fangs. She quickly recoiled when her tongue was cut into, and was startled back to attention when John dropped a file on his desk loudly.
"You checking back into work so soon? I mean, I'm not surprised by your quick healing, seeing the rest of the things I've found out about you, but this short time even has me questioning."
"Yes sir, need something to do other than trying to figure out what else I can shoot legally in a residential area."
"Well, that's both good and bad for me. Need your team back on the patrol, but with only one of you it'll be hard. So, how do you feel about getting a new partner?" John pushed a file towards the edge of his desk before returning to his spot. Jaslo curiously pulled forward, using her antenna to look through the file at the papers inside.
"How bad is Mercy?"
"Very. She'll be out of work for at least another three months. Only problem about Lamborghini types is their repairs. Very tricky for common workers to repair. She needs a lot of time and a lot of special work done before she can even think about returning to the force part time. I am surprised you are willing to return though."
"My options are limited, besides... I can be of some use here," she answered as she read through the papers.
"So, any so far you feel you can work with?"
"Are you kidding?! I don't know any of these guys! I at least knew Mercy a bit before we became a full team."
"Zotic it is then."
"Who?!"
"You'll know him when you see him, go armor up, need units by the state park. Been seeing a lot of those things out there. He's already out there, so best get introduced on site. Now go!" With nothing else, Jaslo gave a slight sigh before turning around and leaving the office. It took her halfway through getting all her weapons back to realize her tongue wasn't bleeding anymore, but also to realize how silent the back room was without a partner to bug you about holding your weapon wrong while loading. That didn't matter now, as a new task was on her mind as she slapped on her plating with the police logo and headed out the door.
"No nono no... no! You see, that would mean they could see!" Despite being a rather silent state park dirt road, the commotion from a few Park Ranger SUVs and one Police Supra was killing the mood. The crunching of dirt signaled the arrival of the Blazer, which was amazingly louder than the chatter of the vehicles around. Again, she found herself being looked at for her fangs, but had already learned not to push her lip over them as that too just stopped bleeding on the drive out here. The Supra quickly drove over to her with a big grin across his front, his engine sounded familiar and his scent was familiar as well, but she couldn't place it.
