It only took a few days for the new partners to become rather great friends. They went as far as pulling pranks on each other and already getting the other into trouble with the Sheriff. Though, it was all worth it, finally having someone to speak to for both sides. It was the start of Zotic getting onto full-time work with the Police force, and a new challenge for Jaslo as she tried to teach a normal car things about lab creatures without making it horridly obvious to other vehicles. For her own mental sake, she taught him how to spot weak points on hounds and how to take down several beasts from a distance, plus how to hide from most beasts as well. In return, he taught her how to maneuver better at higher speeds, and even how to use her weight to help getting around obstacles in the road. Within a month, the two had become a solid unit and began to take on Jaslo's old route in the city. Still, something was bugging the Blazer and she couldn't figure it out, so a trip to Nick was in order.
"Niiiiick," Jaslo began as she entered the old familiar room. The Nissan was soon on her with a heavy frown, making her freeze in place. His device flickering between green and red quickly, alerting her to the fact he was transmitting words the device couldn't say yet.
"Is, uh... is it doing that because I went behind your back and got a place?" she asked with a sheepish smile.
"Yes," he answered, with a slow grainy tone before turning away with a loud huff.
"Look, I know I did wrong by literally purchasing a place and not renting it... I have felt it in my pay, but it was a good deal!"
"Says who?!" Nick spun in place with rage in his eyes.
"Hey hey whoa... look, I got someone who moved in with me, and we're paying it off together. Things are tight but we're managing. I thought that was at least a good move."
"With that cop that can't work?"
"She's like that because of me!"
"So now it's guilt?"
"That... actually makes sense. Thanks!" Jaslo turned to leave before being hit in the trunk with a half-empty bottle. She resumed her place to look at the Nissan.
"Are you just using me to figure out thing about yourself?" Nick asked before rolling up to her, taking a moment to place a tire on her front and look her over.
"I'm that transparent, huh? Well, to be fair and honest, yes. I don't know this normal car stuff! I'm learning but I am also trying to learn my own things and it's scary. I didn't know I could sneeze fire or even shoot a laser from my jaws!" As she said this, Nick froze and backed away quickly, as he was inches from her fangs and now scared about the last part.
"You've reached the final part of your tier, but there's still a lot to learn. Your fangs have fully come in, and you can now be labeled as an alpha." He calmed down before driving to the other room, going straight to his books and computer. Jaslo followed, curious about what all of this meant.
"You are a SilverFang, and by definition, an Alpha Tier Beast. You have finally enabled the ability to use the charged particle canon. Which means you can now finish unlocking more of your abilities through stress." He typed things fast enough to make her dizzy, and he only smiled as he saw her shake her front.
"Nick, I know you're excited about this, but I just needed to know what I was thinkin when I let Mercy move in with me."
"You are a full rank alpha, she is your pack now." Jaslo reeled back slightly, hearing such a thing made her feel like a true beast. Part of her didn't want to believe it, but his eyes made her jump into the truth.
