i changed my pajamas into a pair of black leggings and a plain white shirt. i wore my gray sweatshirt too since it was still a bit cold outside, the sun hasn't rose up yet.

i opened the door slowly and silently, stepped out and closed it slowly and silently as well. i shivered a little when the cold wind touched some of my skin. i took a deep breath which was shaky before starting to walk to the coffee shop.

what happened a day ago still scared me. the thought of seeing minho traumatized me. i didn't want to see him ever again. if only i could bang my head on a brick wall so that i'd get amnesia.

after a few minutes of walking with my earphones in both of my ears, i arrived at my destination, the coffee shop. to my surprise, chan was already there.

i wanted to surprise him with a backhug, but i forgot that there were wind chimes by the door. i really wanted to get a chair and just pull the chimes broken because it annoyed me.

"my torritoise!" chan exclaimed as he turned around and ran to me to give me a hug.

"ew, still a bad nickname." i said as he almost suffocated me with his hug again. "don't kill me, chan!"

"why would i kill you? i was worried as fuck yesterday because you weren't replying to any of my messages. i literally couldn't sleep, thinking of what you did in your room. but when you called me, it felt like god heard my prayers."

i laughed at his cheesiness as i playfully rolled my eyes. but not gonna lie, he made my heart melt. why did i fall with someone named bang chan?

"anyway, i hope you wouldn't mind if he came too. he said he wanted to talk. the both of us talked it through." he said, and i immediately stopped laughing and shut my mouth up.

i heard the wind chimes chime, and i slowly turned around. there he was, standing by the door, looking so pale. dark circles were very visible by his eyes. he looked very weak, and it looked like he wasn't the minho i knew.

"m-minho, what happened to you?" i asked, not controlling my mouth, as if it had a mind of it's own.

"please, can we talk? even just a minute?" he asked, his voice cracking like he was going to break down into tears any second now.

i looked back at chan. i gave him a small nod and a small smile. he smiled back as he left me and minho alone in the closed coffee shop.

"sit down." i told minho as i sat on one of the coffee shop tables, and he did as i said.

"i'm sorry." he said in a very faint voice, and before i knew it, he was already crying.

honestly, it broke my heart to see minho in this situation. i was on the edge of crying as well. even though he has hurt me a lot, i still cared for him. even though he was being a dumbass back then, he still did small yet helpful things to me.

"please, don't cry." i told him as i held his hand.

he slowly lifted his head up, his eyes looked from our intertwined hands to my eyes. unknowingly, we stared into each others eyes for a few seconds, until i looked away and took my hand from him.

"you heard what you heard that day." i said, looking down.

"i know. i-i'm sorry i failed to bring color to your life. i really do regret it. but i'm not the man for you, i found it out myself. the both of us, we're a mess. i thought we could mend each other back together, but turns out, we just broke each other even more."

i sighed at his words. "i guess you're right."

"all i want to say is thank you for spending time with me during those days. you really did made me smile, no lies. but now, i guess we have to make a new chapter. so, uh, can we just be friends?"

i looked at him and smiled. "yeah, okay."

he stood up, smiled at me and left the shop. after about two minutes, chan went in with a big smile, as if he had a plan.
