author's note: this is a story that i started writing a couple of years ago but never got anywhere on and never posted anywhere. i was going through old files the other day and found it and still really liked the idea, so here it is! i'm actually really excited to spruce it up and hopefully get somewhere with it. it's going to be a mixture of flashback chapters (some of which will definitely include jimmy because i just love him so much) and present chapters, but i'll make sure flashbacks are clearly marked so that it doesn't get confusing.
also, just a heads up: there will be some pretty dark themes throughout this. i don't usually do trigger warnings, but this will contain mentions of death, suicide, suicidal thoughts, and other things having to do with mental illness, so if that's something that you're not comfortable with you might want to just be careful. like i said i don't usually do trigger warnings, but i'll try my best to tack them onto the chapters that the dark themes are most prevalent in.
