"How are you?" I started.

We are sitting on a bench for a solid minute and it's awkward for us both, because Jace the great is running around.

"Trying to be better." he said honestly.

I took a deep breath. It's now or never.

"Gino can we talk about this?" he just looked at me without saying a word. "Please?" I almost whispered.

"I don't wanna hurt you Jennifer." he muttered.

"You already hurt me Gino and you are still hurting me. Just tell me when and why did you start pouring alcohol know your system?!"

"Okay I started when you and Ryan were hanging out together. It hurt me Jennifer."

I widened my eyes. Why did he think...

"But Ryan was just a friend. Gino you know that." he just nodded his head. "Yeah I'm sorry."

I just sighed stopping myself to cry.

"Can you stop?"

"I'm really sorry Jennifer. I didn't wanna hurt you. The moment you saw me with a girl in my room...it was set up. I set it up for you to break up with me. So I did my plan because that time my body is already full of alcohol and I don't wanna do something physically painful against you. I'm really sorry. I'm sorry if I hurt you. If I broke you. That's the only thing I knew to keep you safe."

Safe from whom? Him? He was my home. "You made me feel safe Gino. Why was I not?!"

"Because Jennifer I am a monster!" he almost yelled in front of my face. I just closed my eyes for some seconds, when I opened my teary eyes, I immediately cupped his face and kissed bum softly but full of love and mercy.

"You're not a monster Gino." I whispered rubbing his cheeks with my thumb.

"How do you know?"

"Because no monster knows how to save. You saved me Gino." I smiled resting my forehead against his. "You're not a monster. You never were."

He pulled my chin up, making me look at him in they eyes.

"So please let me help you go back to the old you."

"You're a big help Jennifer. I love you."

When he said the 3 words I was longing to hear, my heart melts and k could feel the rumbling of butterflies in my stomach.

"I never stopped loving you." he admitted which made me smile wider. I couldn't help but to kiss him again.

So it means we are back together?

"Are you husband and wife now?" that question made me and Gino pulled away. We saw Jace standing there. Looking at us intently.

"Baby come here." I carried him and sat him down on my lap. "It's an adult thing. It's just you're too young to understand it."

He said okay being satisfied of what have said. Gino looked at me and just smiled.

"I saw a girl." Jace muttered. "Do you like her?" Gino asked him. Jace nodded.

"She's so pretty but I'm shy to talk to her." Jace rested his head on my shoulder. Gino took him from me, now Jace is already sitting on his lap.

"Listen buddy. I'm gonna tell you a story." I wonder what would that be.

"You know I was also too shy go approach the most beautiful girl God had ever created. I almost peed my pants because I'm nervous. But then I gain my guts and now... I won her back again." Gino held my hand, bringing it up and kissing my knuckles.

"So you are married now because you are kissing." I just giggled pinching Jace's cheeks. "You talk too much Mr. Lopez, now let's go eat."

Jace, fink and I went to the restaurant nearby a.k.a Gino's restaurant.

"I cooked that." he served our food and yes, he cooked it. We kinda waited for him for almost an hour. Now we are ready to taste what he prepared.

"You keep getting better." I smiled.

"Uncle Gino you're the best! Ain't Jennifer doesn't know how to cook like this." I widened my eyes. This kid really knows how to talk.

"No one's gonna sleep with me tonight then." Jace suedey hugged me. "I'm just joking aunt Jennifer. I love you." he sweetly kissed my cheek three times.

"You're the only two in the house?" Gino asked. "Mhm, the parents went to Bali for another baby." he made a face.

"So basically no one's gonna cook for dinner. " he's trying to say something I can tell. "Oh, we can always order something."

"And I am not gonna let that happen. Jace do you need company tonight?" Jace just nodded, he couldn't speak since his mouth is full.

"Jennifer, I know you do. So whether you like it or you like it, I stay with you tonight." I said!

"They'll be gone for a week though."

"Then I will be staying with you for a week."

Oh my God... I don't know what's gonna happen if we are gonna live under the same roof again but... We never know. 😉
