Chapter 1 - Pencil drumsticks

Ashley's POV

"Your so out of reach and I'm finding it hard cuz you make me feel make me feel" I belted.

I was dancing on my bed with my headphones on as loud as they would go. With every jump on my bed, I made a crazy face to my 5 Seconds Of Summer poster on the wall. I felt a pillow gently hit my back.

"What you don't like this song!?" I called not bothering to turn around to my room mate Emily.

"Oooh! My favourite!" I yelled picking up to pencils and drumming against the wall.

"Your like perfection,

Some kind of holiday,

You got me thinkin',

That we could run away,

You want I'll take you there,

You tell me when and where!

But then I asked for your number,

Said you don't have a phone,

It's gettin' late now,

Don't Stooooooooop!!!" I spun around still dancing and jumping on the bed.

I stopped jumping. Pulled off my headphones, and put down the pencils. Standing in front of me was, a cringing Emily, a very angry Ms Malone, and 4 stunned members of 5 Seconds Of Summer.

I quickly jumped off of my bed and turned my head to face the floor. Oops.

"Eh, we have others" Ms Malone said ushering the boys out of the room.

I dared to look up, I was met by their shocked faces, still priceless. Michael had his eyes wide open and both eyebrows raised. Calum had one eyebrow up looking somewhat confused. Ashton has both eyes wide open along with his mouth open. And Luke simply smirked.

Ms Malone came back realising that nobody was following her and she grabbed Luke's arm pulling him. He simply flicked her off like a fly on the wall.

"No way, she's perfect" He spoke with such a certainty in his eyes.

Wow...Perfect? Why thank you..I am aren't I...*bow, bow*. Hehe. I had no idea what to do so I fiddled with my fingers awkwardly.

"Are you sure? She's...different" Ms Malone said glaring down at me.

"Oh, that's fine" Luke replied.

"Yea, Different is good" Michael added breaking his gaze.

Ashton and Calum were still staring at me and kind of freaking me out. Michael looked over to me and followed my gaze at Ashton.

"Ashton. Shut your trap your gonna catch flies" He said chuckling a little.

Ashton shut his mouth but his eyes remained eating into me. He had a huge smile on his face with big dimples. I looked over to Calum to realise he had changed his expression from confused to pure joy, again a huge smile. Why? I'm not that good...

"So your reeeeeaaaalllyyyy sure?" Ms Malone pushed.

"Yup, Positive" Luke replied taking one final look at me.

"Alright then, let's go get the paperwork" She grumbled.

Ha! I'm getting adopted! This is awesome!

"I'm gonna go sign the papers, you guys stay here and help her pack, I'll be back in a few" Luke said looking mainly at Michael since the other 2 were still staring at me.

Michael nodded.

"Oy! You two!" Michael clapped in front of their faces shaking them out of their trance.

"Bags!" He pushed.

"Names!" Calum barked back turning to Michael.

"Somehow, I think she knows our names guys" Michael said crossing his arms.

"So! That takes the fun out of it!" Calum sassed turning back to me.

Ashton still hasn't broken his gaze, he isn't smiling quite as big anymore which makes him a little less, stalkerish in looks.

"I'm Calum" He said taking my hand and kissing the back of it.

Michael rolled his eyes and I giggled.

"Mr Grumpy pants over there is Michael" He teased pointing to Michael causing me to giggle again.

"And this is-" He got cut off by Ashton finally coming out of his trance and pushing Calum away.

"Ashton" He smirked and kissed my cheek.

I giggled and could feel heat rising to my cheeks.

"Oh and your new dad, is Luke" Calum added glaring at Ashton who I swear was turning a light shade of pink himself.

"Ashley" I smirked. "At your service" I bowed.

They laughed.

We started packing and were just finishing up as Luke came back smiling.

"Done. Everyone ready?" He asked.

We all nodded in return.
