"Are you okay? you've been silent all day?" I ask.

His grip tightens on the steering wheel.

Silence.

"Hey, what's going on? Talk to me" I say a little more stern this time.

Still no reply.

I undo my seatbelt and reach for the door handle.

"What are you doing!" He swerves the car slightly reaching for my arm.

"Finally he speaks" I cross my arms in frustration.

"That was reckless and dangerous" He sighs, the panic leaving his voice.

"Well it worked. If you weren't being so stubborn.." I mutter.

"I wasn't being stubborn" His eyes focussed hard on the road.

"Are we seriously not going to talk about this?" I search his face for any kind of emotion or reaction.

Again silence.

I sigh of frustration leaning against the window.

"We need to stop" I continue.

His eyes continue watching the road.

"I need to use the bathroom. We need to stop" I cross my arms again.

Why is he acting like this.

He sighs and pulls off at a gas station.

"Thank you" I huff as I wander inside.

-----

I shut the door behind me and turn to face him. He's still looking straight forward. Without turning his head he hands me a small bag of chips and a water bottle.

"You're really not going to talk to me? For how long" I look at him with pain in my eyes.

"As long as it takes" He starts up the car.

After a second I roll my eyes and get back out of the car.

"Where do you think you're going?" He calls after me finally taking his gaze off of the dirty windscreen.

My turn to ignore him. I cross my arms and make my way down the street.

'His' POV

"Shit" I mutter under my breathe.

I don't mean it. I really don't. It's the only way.

It's easier this way. If she hates me she'll forget about me. And it'll be easier for me to go.

I can't ignore how I've felt over the past few days. It's not normal. I kidnapped her, held her hostage. She has every right to hate me. And she should. She will. She has to.

Ashley's POV

I hear his fast footsteps behind me.

"Get back in the car. Now" He demands.

"Leave me alone" A tear rolls down my cheek.

How could I be so stupid. He kidnapped me. He was going to sell me off for drugs and let God knows what happen to me. He doesn't care. So I shouldn't either.

"Please" He urges.

I stop instantly and spin on my heels.

"Please? Please! How dare you. You kidnapped me, then took care of me, then you say you're going to let me go but act like a total jerk giving me the silent treatment and now you want to use manners? Well how's this for manners, please, leave me the hell alone" I angrily wipe away another tear threatening to fall.
