The last week I was healing from my sprains, I was walking carefully on my leg. When I was completely healed I rejoined the girls for the last twenty shows. I worked my butt off rehearsing for the shows. When it was show time, I went full force into my acts and making sure I hit the right moves.
During the cowgirl act one guy thought it would be nice to rip my jeans and chaps off. Security had to remove him from the stage. I went directly down to my dressing room. I found bruising on my waist and hips. I put some bruise cream on them before seeing the tattoo and finish getting ready for the next part.
After spending the five weeks with the guys, I gained a higher level of confidence. This will be the first time in two years since I've done the hot seats. My tattoo was showing completely along with the one on my shoulder blade and the horseshoes. I put the matching boots on along with my hat before joining the girls.
I did a backflip off the stage for show before starting near the back. This was extra cash and tips. This was the last one before the last act. After hot seats, I went back to switch the color of my sports bra, having to dig cash out of my sports bra and underwear. Good thing I'm not on that this week. I'm the only one that does not use tamps.
At the end of the night we did the meet and greet before I got a text from Christian saying they were here. I went, gathered my stuff up before putting it with the clothes, and threw a shirt on. I put my hat back on before walking out. About halfway to the bus, my sole came off my boot. "——." "Jesse!" Hailee squealed.
"Not my fault." I chuckled as the guys came walking over to the bus. "These were my good ones too!" I exclaimed. She laughed again. "Bad news girls. The headlights and blinkers are out." The bus driver said. I nodded as I took my soleless boot off. I took the other one and the socks off before throwing them aside and handing Hailee my hat.
"I got this." I said as I opened up the first compartment. I grabbed bulbs out in a four pack before going back to the front. I got straight to work. "Mechanic." Hailee smarted off. "Thanks." I told her. I could hear Travis chuckle. One of my many hidden talents. When the front was done I had to check the back. They were out too.
I changed them out before needing a boost to the top light. Christian vaulted me up onto his shoulders like it was some cheer routine. Love this man. Once it was replaced he took a few steps away before he had me hop down. He caught me smoothly before setting me on my feet. The guys whooped when he caught me. "How's my angel?" He asked low in my ear. "Enjoying life." I answered.
He wrapped me in his arms from behind while kissing my cheek. "I missed you." He said. "I missed you too." I said back. "No injuries?" He asked. "No. Maybe some slight bruising from an intoxicated guest but nothing major." I told him. "Too rough?" He asked. "Slightly. I've got to go tomorrow to get a new pair of jeans and boots. He luckily didn't rip my chaps." I said.
I could tell he was tensing up. "I'm fine Christian. As long as no major damage was done, I'm perfectly fine. Jeans can be bought, and bruises heal." I told him. "I know angel. It's that overprotective side of me coming out." He said. "You know I love that side." I said. He chuckled. "I've got to get some rest. We're heading to Denver as soon as I get on that bus." I said.
"Glad I saw you then. I don't want to keep them waiting keeping you hostage." He said. I spun in his arms to reach up to kiss him. He leaned down to meet me. "Love you cowboy." I said. "Love you too angel." He said. We kissed once more before I went to get on the bus. "Get some!" Hailee yelled. I shook my head. "Your crazy." I told her. "I'm your best friend I'm supposed to be crazy." She said.
I got out of my clothes and into my cocooned bed of blankets enjoying their heat. I grabbed the shirt Christian let me borrow for when we're apart. I put it on and curled up under the covers. Even a few minutes with him makes a huge deal.
