India and I were at the mall looking for stores that were hiring, well I was looking and she was shopping. Going into Victoria Secrets, where they had a 'Now Hiring' sign in the window. India ventured off towards the underwear section, while I made my way to the front counter.
"Hi, how can I help you?" The short perky, Hispanic girl smiled from behind the counter asked.
"Hello, I saw the sign out front and I was wondering if you guys did in store applications?"
"Yes we do." She pulled out an application from the drawer along with a pen. "If you have time you can fill the application out now and when the store manager comes in from lunch I'll be sure to give it to her."
"Thank you so much." I smiled taking the items from her hands.
I stood off to the side filling out the application, which was only a page and half long so I was done in no time. Scanning over the paper as I made my way back to the front I bumped into something. Looking up from the paper I didn't see anyone but I heard loud cries below. Keeling down I saw I had accidentally ran into a child. He sat on the ground looking up at me with tears streaming down his face.
"Oh honey, I'm so sorry." I apologized to the toddler.
He told up wiping his face and looking around crying for his mommy, I'm assuming. I looked around for someone distraught.
"Damn, Caeden you can't scare mommy like that anymore." She grabbed the little boy in her arms and held him close.
The girl who held the little boy couldn't have been any older than me. When she noticed I was standing there she stood up with the boy on her hip and smiled.
"Thank you so much for finding him." She smiled.
"It's no problem, we actually sort of bumped into each other." I chuckled staring at the little boy.
He had his mother's eyes and the cutest black curly hair. His chubby cheeks held deep dimples and two teeth were just coming in at the bottom of his mouth. I don't why I'm so fascinated with this little boy but he's so handsome.
"He's handsome." I cooed touching his hand.
"Thank you, but he's a little monster." She chuckled. "Well I better get going and again thank you so much."
"No problem."
The girl turned on her heels and exited the store while I turned in the application to the front. The same lady behind the desk told me they'd call if they were interested by Friday.
On my way home I dropped India off at her house then I went home. I parked in my usual spot then got out, Chris' car was parked next to mine. After we made up over and over again, Chris decided we should take a step further in our relationship and move in together. I had my doubts because we're still so young and in high school but I love Chris more then I should so I took a chance.
"Lucy, I'm home." I yelled into our apartment.
I heard the game playing from our bedroom so I walked in to see Chris spread across the King size bed doing his homework.
"Well look whose finally studying." I laughed smacking his butt because he laid on his stomach.
"Aye, chill wit' that gay shit B. I told you about doing that." Chris whined.
I smacked my lips as I sat on the edge of the bed watching him do his math.
"How'd the job search go baby?" He asked closing his book.
