Shelby's father agreed to lease her an apartment after she told him what happened with her mother. He wasn't pissed like I thought he be after he learned she had been staying with me for the last week, he was actually relieved that she had someone to look after her, now the frustrations he had with her mom's was a different story.

Her pops thanked me and said he couldn't wait to meet me when he came out for thanksgiving, most father's saw me once and rejected me on sight but her dad seemed cool and in turn I couldn't wait to meet him.

Today Shelby and I are going to look at some apartments close by just in case she needed me, I wasn't to far. I am a little pissed off that she's deciding to move away when she knows I can take care of her but then another part is jealous because she has the heart to do what my mom couldn't

"Bae, you ready?" Shelby said coming into my room with a pair of cheetah print leggings, all white low top converses and a white tank top with a jean vest.

"Leggo." I replied grabbing my keys and wallet.

We made our way towards my Audi then I opened the passenger door for her and she slid inside. After I made sure she was straight I hopped in the driver's seat and I sped off down the street.

"Must you always blast your music every time you get in the car?" Shelby asked turning down the radio.

"Must you always complain about the shit that I do?" My sarcasm matched hers.

I heard her suck her teeth. "You been on some bullshit since you woke up this morning. The fuck is your attitude about?"

I hiked up my shoulders. "Ain't shit wrong with me."

"If you were gonna act like a bitch about me moving then I would've done this shit my damn self."

I slammed on my breaks as I came to a red light.

"The fuck you mean I'm acting like a bitch! I'm trying to help you and you breathing down my neck about petty shit."

"Fine I won't say shit else to you then."

"Straight, ma."

Out of the corner of my eye I could see her roll her eyes and for a minute this shit amused me but then again I had no right to be mad because she wanted to be independent.

As soon as we pulled to the apartment complex she got out and slammed the door. Sighing I unbuckled my seat belt and adjusted my hoodie before going into the office to see her already talking to somebody, politely I walked over and sat beside Shelby and eyed the dude sitting across from her.

"Oh hello sir, I'm Sean and you are?"

"Chris." I responded uninterested in his introduction.

He nodded then returned his attention back to Shelby who looked me up and down then rolled her eyes. I blew her kiss then tuned into whatever this dude was saying.

"Would you like to see one of our models?"

"Oh, sure." She smiled. "You can stay here since you got a fucked up attitude."

"And leave John here alone with you?" I asked sarcastically. "Not a chance baby."

Shelby chuckled. "His name is Sean."

"Whatever."

I grabbed her hand and we walked behind Sean as he lead us through the complex. He explained to us about the pool, gym and complex patrol that came through on our way to the model.
