Megan's P.O.V
High School is rough. Everyone knows that. It's easier going through it with friends but when those friends ditch you when you come out in the tenth grade after knowing you since first grade, High School seems like tiny problem compared to everything else. "Hey! Have you seen my sandals?" a muffled voice says. Ah, Haley. Now this...this is where everything gets interesting. I met Haley at the beginning of the High School. Literally the first day. I was scrolling through my music on my phone and the all of a sudden a body hits mine and I feel something very fucking hot all over me. "Oh my god I am so so sorry!" A shaking voice said. I looked up to see her, Haley. Now it was my turn to be a mumbling mess. "Uh-yeah....n-no that's okay." I cleared my throat and stood up. I made a mental note that day. NEVER wear white to school. Now that rule has changed. It's now, never wear white in school or near Haley. She's done it more than just a few times now. "Earth to Megan!" a hand waved in my face. I look up at her and smile before I roll my eyes. "Why would I know where your sandals are?" I asked. She huffed in annoyance and crossed her arms. "You practically live here half the time. You should notice these kind of things." she says. I laugh and walk out of her room and downstairs leaving her alone to hunt around for her sandals. Haley is beautiful. Absolutely, beautiful. Her brown hair falls down to the middle of her back, her eyes a beautiful brown, and her lips- don't get me started. I've kissed Haley once. It was at a party and we were both drunk. It didn't turn out well. She freaked out and wouldn't talk to me for a week. I confessed my love for her and kissed her and in reaction, I almost lost her. When she finally talked to me it was at our friend Luke's seventeenth birthday party. I was happy that she was finally talking to me again. I missed her so much. Little did I know that was going to be my very first heart break. I told myself a life with her in is better than a life without her in it so I told her I was just drunk and I didn't mean any of it. The look on her face that day looked like she believed me but didn't at the same time. The only thing that matters is I still have my best friend, and I'm happy with that. I was in Ninth grade. I told myself it was just puppy love and I'd get over it. Now, it's our last year, senior year.... and I'm even more in love with her than I was before. I here the click of shoes coming down the stairs and sure enough after fifteen minutes we didn't have to waste she found her sandals. "You know we're late for our first day of senior year because you had to have those particular sandals? You have about four other pairs. Sometimes I don't understand you." I laugh. She rolls her eyes and laughs. The drive to school was quick, mostly because I was going five over the speed limit the whole way there saving us five minutes. I don't promote speeding, at all, but when you have a Haley and she's complaining about you making them late to school by driving like a grandma... well, it was an exception. Haley huffed when we pulled into the school parking lot. "Finally." she said. I looked over to her and a small smile. "I'm going to burn your sandals well you sleep." I said before sliding out of my uncles car. I could hear he yelling at me from inside of the car as I walked away. First day back, can't wait for the last.
