It was a lonely night, the sky was starless and the wind was blowing harshly into my face. I stood by the river, my hair dancing behind me crazily as I stood perfectly still.

I took one last glance at the river, at the beautiful moon reflected in the water, and turned around in hopes of going home.

But I heard something. It was a low pitched muffled scream.

And then I saw you, ruthlessly pushing a man into the river, you licked your lips in satisfaction as he struggled to get out.

You saw me and I flinched. The murderous look in your eyes nearly made my stomach churn.

You slowly walked towards me, your curly bangs falling over your eyes, disabling me from seeing the murder etched into them.

I gulped as I realised how little distance there was between us. You stared straight at me, your eyes piercing through mine in a cold matter.

❝ If you say a word, you'll be next.❞

Your face haunted me that night.
