"Mr. Jeon! Have you seen this?" An eager intern asked, scampering across the vast lobby after the tall male, hoping for some recognition from the infamous CEO.
He stopped in his tracks, before sending a look of annoyance at the pesky intern.
"What is it?" He asked, and the boy's smile widened.
Jutting his arm out, his hand held a magazine.
Sprawled across the front page, was his face. Not the intern. Jeon Jungkook's face.
His eyebrows came together.
"Aren't they supposed to ask the recipient's opinion, before they hand out meaningless titles like this?" He asked, before pushing past the intern and walking away.
"You did three interviews for this yesterday." The intern simpered, trailing the CEO again.

You kicked your heels off, sending them flying across your apartment.
Yanking your hair out of it's tight ponytail, you also chucked the hair tie at the wall of your living room.
#2.
#2.
#2.
Why didn't the editor just cut you out completely?
You'd rather receive no recognition than be second to him.
The man that everyone seemed to be everywhere you turned.
Jeon Jungkook.
Your phone began buzzing in the back pocket of your jeans.
"Hello?" You answered, and an excited squeal came from the other end of the line.
"Congratulat-"
You hung up, before muting all calls and texts and tossing your phone into the trash can.
-
"She isn't answering her phone, sir." Hoseok said, and Jungkook spun around in his office chair, scrutinizing the patterns on the carpet.
He was frustrated.
"Did you call her other phone? She has 3." Jungkook tried, and Hoseok shook his head, looking down at the floor respectively.
"Damnit. I wanted to gloat." Jungkook groaned, before waving his hand to dismiss Hoseok, who let out a silent sigh of relief.
Upon entering the room, he was almost certain he was going to be fired. For whatever reason. It was what Jungkook liked to do when he was angry or bored.
-
A knock sounded on your door.
You frowned.
You didn't remember ordering any food.
"Go away!" You screamed, closing your eyes again.
"LEE Y/N! Is that anyway to speak to your mother?"
Well, shit.
Standing from the couch, you dragged yourself to the front door, opening it for your mom with a fake smile plastered on your lips.
"Stop growing taller." She snapped before pushing her way into your apartment.
"Welcome in." You sarcastically mumbled, following her into your living room.
"Congratulations." She said, curtly, like always, masking how she truly felt. Was she disappointed you weren't number one? Was she genuinely congratulating you? The woman was hard to read.
