Tia's POV

I carefully shake Lexie, softly calling her name. "Lexie..." I whisper, and she groans, rubbing her eyes as she sits up. "Yeah?" She yawns, and I smile gently at her. "It's time to get up, Katelyn's gonna be here in about an hour." I say quietly, standing up. Immediately, Lexie darts out of bed. "Your bathroom is behind the white door." I inform her, walking towards the door to the hallway. "Wait, weren't we supposed to paint our rooms and unpack today?" Lexie asked me, and I pause. "You're right. We'll have to paint this weekend, or tomorrow. I can help you unpack once Kaitlyn leaves." I say, quickly recalculating my plan. Lexie nods, unzipping all of her suitcases. She finally found her showering materials and the outfit she wanted. Lexie grabbed everything up, walking towards the bathroom. "Breakfast will be ready when Katelyn gets here." I inform Lexie, and she yells a thank you. I walk out of the room, shutting the door behind me in case she has to run back just in case. I carefully push open the door to Jax's room, funding his bed empty. Panic rises in my chest for an unknown reason. "Jax?" I call out, but I don't get a response. "Jax!" I yell a bit louder. I rush over to the bathroom door, knocking on it. At the first tap the door opens, and the room is empty. Next I check his closet, and he's still not there. I rush out the bedroom door, yelling his name again. I search the whole house to find no Jax anywhere. I head into the garage, no Jax. Then the front yard, nothing. Then the side yards, not a trace. Then I head into the backyard. I let out a relieved breath, finding the boy sound asleep in the tan pool chair. I gently shake him, only finding his skin was ice cold. I pick him up bridal style, carrying him to the door. I carefully kick the sliding glass door, getting Chandler's attention. He sets door the spatula, walking over. Chandler opens the door, letting me in. "Is everything okay?" He asks, concerned. "Yeah, I just forgot Jax sleep walks. I found him in one of the pool chairs." I explain, and he nods. "So that's why you were calling him." Chandler notes out loud. I nod, carrying Jax out of the kitchen, to the stairs, up they, down the hall, and into his room. I carefully shake him, whispering his name a few times. Jax yawns, slowly sitting up. "Mom...?" He called, and my heart sank. I put a gentle hand on his hair. "Oh, Jax. It's not your mom." I said, gently stroking his hair. Jax reached over, grabbing his glasses from the bedside table. After Jax put on his glasses he looked at me. I smiled gently at him, and he sighed. "Katelyn's going to be here in about an hour. You should get ready." I inform him, my tone as gentle as I could. Jax nodded, and I got up. "I'll be downstairs in the kitchen, J." I said, and then I walked out of the room, gently shutting the door behind me.

I began to place down the last bowl of food on the table for everyone to serve themselves that were able when I heard Lexie scream from the living room. I let go of the dish, running into the room of the source of her screams. I relaxed when I saw Shawn standing in the middle of the living room, keys in hand. I walk over to Lexie, her eyes wide and jaw slacked as her face was streaked in tears. I wrapped my arms around the twelve year old's shoulders. I let out a small giggle. "Shawn, I see you've met Lexie." Shawn slowly blinked, coming back to reality. "Uh... yeah... I have..." He stuttered, and I laughed again. "I just popped in to see if you could babysit Carter for me." Shawn stutters, and I pause. "I can, but I'm not sure how long. I do have five children now." I inform the Canadian singer. Shawn just stared at me in shock. "I can ask Katelyn if you need me to, I don't want to overwhelm you." Shawn quickly states, trying to retract his inquiry. "Actually, Katelyn's coming over. She should be here soon, actually." I say, giggling. "Shawn, it's okay, really." I assure him. "If you can teach Jax to surf when we head to the beach." I propose, and Shawn immediately accepts. "Now how about breakfast before you run?" I offer, and he accepts again. I call the rest of the family in, then rush to the kitchen to set two more place settings.
