Tia's POV

I frowned as I fought with Shawn about me pouring a drink. "Will you at least let me try? I'm better at being blind than you think." I assure him, and he finally gives in. I drag the Styrofoam pitcher across the table until it taps my plastic cup. Using one hand, I have a finger inside the cup so I knew how close the water was to the rim of the cup. I then used the thumb on the same hand to find the spout of the pitcher and guide it to the cup. I slowly filled my cup with water, stopping when I felt the water touching my finger. I placed the pitcher back down, and I brought the cup to my lips. I placed the cup down after taking a sip, and then waited for Shawn and Chandler's responses. There was silence. "I used to have really bad eyesight. Until I got my glasses my eyes blurred out a lot because I had some sort of disorder that caused them to spazz out. I still have the issue, but my glasses allowed me to see when they would blur out. They focused my eyes back in." I explain, hearing one of the two men shift in their chair. "I don't know who is sitting where, but I hope you're okay. That's seven times in the last three minutes. If you need to pee there's a bathroom not even fifteen feet away." I say, not trying to sound rude or anything. Suddenly there's a knock at the door, and then someone opens the door. "Tia?" The voice calls, and it's a doctor. "Yes?" I ask, tracing the footsteps to the right side of the bed. "I've already turned out the lights and the blinds were already shut. There should be minimal light. Do you want to attempt to take off the bandages?" The doctor asks, and I nod my head yes. "I'm about to touch your face." He warns, and seconds later I feel him begin to pull the medical tape off of my skin. After a few minutes of skin pulling I feel the first bandage being pulled from my face. My eyesight was blurry, but I could make out shapes. My eyelid was twitching, which meant my eyes were spazzing out. I see shapes in front of me, blobs of color basically, and my heart starts to race. Despite the fact I knew Shawn and Chandler, I felt as though I was meeting them both for the first time. I saw a short man and a tall one standing side by side as the doctor moved to the other side. I assumed they were men, seeing as no one else was in the room aside from the doctor, Shawn, Chandler, and I. "We were able to replicate your prescription from your other glasses after the police released them to us from the evidence locker of your case. Once we get your bandage off of your other eye I'll give them to you. We had frames similar to your original pair, so we just used those." The doctor explains as he begins to remove the other bandage. I don't respond, trying not to focus on too much. My heart was pounding. I was feeling so queasy. I was about to lay eyes on Shawn Mendes and Chandler Riggs all in the same moment. I had already met them both, and I had already spent several hours with Shawn. I had spent a good while texting Chandler and had a conversation with him when I got his number. I've even met him before and taken a few pictures with him. I was nervous. I was so insanely nervous. Yet I had no reason to be. He pulls the last part of the bandage away from my face and I realize I still can't see clearly. Both of my eyes are blurred out, and then I feel a set of glasses being placed in my hands. I take them, shakily putting them on my face. As they slide up my nose the three men in front of me come in to focus. The doctor was an older gentleman, but not too old. He had a bit of grey in his brown hair, but not much. His eyes were a murky green and he was tan, but not a fake tan. I look towards Shawn and Chandler, and they're standing there nervously. "I feel like I'm meeting you both for the first time." I blurt out, and I feel my cheeks heat up as I regret it. You know the feeling of embarrassing yourself in front of your crush? That's what I felt. "I'll leave you three to it." The doctor says, leaving some papers on the rolling table as he walks out of the room. Both boys move closer, sitting on either side of me. "Well, we can assure you that is not the case." Chandler states, putting his arm around my waist. Shawn puts his arm around my shoulders. "I wasn't going to tell you this, but when the police gave your phone back they had it unlocked, so we kind of went through it..." Shawn said, and I slapped him in the back of the head. Okay, I missed Shawn's head, but I got Chandler's head and Shawn's neck. "Not cool!" I yelled, and the boys chuckled at me. I was bright red, knowing that Shawn saw my fangirl text messages to my mom. He probably saw the fan fictions I wrote on Wattpad about he and Chandler. Oh no, fan fictions. Chandler saw my Carl Grimes and Chandler Riggs fan fictions and imagines. Oh, he's going to think I'm insane. "I especially was interested in that Dream Your Life one. That's what it was called, right?" Chandler teased. "Imagine Your Life." I squeaked out, starring at my feet. "That one was rather interesting." Shawn comments, and Chandler nods. "I really liked Three Worlds in One and Three, Two, One." Chandler added, and then Shawn did too. "Don't forget about Savior or Old Friends, New People." I elbowed both of them. "I get it. I had some embarrassing things on my phone." I groaned. "That's an understatement, isn't it, Shawny Bear?" Chandler asks Shawn, obviously teasing me. "I would say so, Chan Chan." Shawn counteracts. "That's enough!" I shriek, covering my ears. The boys laugh at me, and I frown at them. My face was bright red, and I was honestly really hurt. Was this the real Shawn and Chandler, or were they just joking around? I mean, why would you rub it in my face you went through my phone? " I think that was a bit much." Shawn whispers, and Chandler agrees with a nod. I try to hide it, but I feel tears begin to fall down my face. I felt heavy, both physically and emotionally. I didn't know what was real and what wasn't. My friends were acting like jerks. I don't know how long I was out or where my parents were. I was almost robbed. I was assaulted. Everything was hitting me all at once, and I felt like I was drowning. Someone put their arms around me, and they were muscular. It was Shawn. I leaned into him, and the Chandler copies Shawn's actions. "I guess we went about this the wrong way." Chandler whispered. Then, simultaneously, both men apologized. I just nodded, trying to stop the tears.
