  The sun shines in bright ray through the thick branches above. I slowly blink open my eyes looking up at the sky, not ready to wake up I shift my body moving my large figure to block the thick rays of light. I close my eyes once again when I hear ...it...humans. I mentally grown knowing it's to early for this. I crawl my way out of the smaller cave that hid only half of my large body.

I perk up looking around the vast area of trees trying spot the group that has disturbed my slumber. I spot them, a small what I assume to be a hunting pack of the creatures. Their tools give away what their hunting for, small daggers laced with poison, large sacks, buckets of water and the rare bow and arrow scattered throughout the group. Their hunting for my kind but no full grown or matured such as I they're gear is simply for subduing much smaller dragons.

I let a low snarl pass my large teeth, it annoys me that even this deep into the forest these humans persist to try and capture something that should remain free. I fully stand up keeping my wings tucked to my sides as to avoid being sighted. It's been awhile since I've seen such stupidly courageous humans who dare to hunt dragons. I decide to follow close behind simply to watch their failed efforts. Its difficult to hide myself even in the large ancient oaks that's rest this deep in the forest. Having a pure white body that's bigger then most of my kind doesn't help the fact either but as I swiftly jump from tree to tree from high above the group making far less noise then the supposed hunters I feel very little threat of discovery.

~~~~~~~~
After walking for several hours I find myself bored, they have no technique to hunting, I doubt they could catch a wild bore with there tracking skills. I have seen them follow the trail of a rabit only to go in a circle for an hour. ...this was a waste of time...I go to take off from a tree I had perched in when I hear a loud yell.
"I-i found one, I found a dragon!" An older man with a grey beard yells pointing up to the tree I'm in.
What are they thinking, I'm no where close to the size they could handle. I think to myself trying to translate there idiotic logic into something I could understand. Though not being around humans for nearly 150 years, I have no clear understanding on them but I've had enough experience to realize they can be clever. Coming to no reasonable conclusion as to why they have taken arms against me i crawl down the large trunk of the tree. I slowly bring my large feet to the ground, separating myself from the tree standing in front of them. Now seeing my full size I see them falter as they shake before me.
I guess a large portion of my size was hidden by the trees foliage after all.
I look over the group as they begin to mutter to eachother frozen. I can't understand all human words it being so long since I've heard them but I pick up a few in the conversation, run, no, beast, son, sneak?
The last word being one I'm not familiar with, i hear a shuffle to my left and quickly turn my head to see a younger lad, we'll younger then the more elderly of the group.
Unlike the others he carries no weapon, all he has is a small bundle of rope on his left side. I tilt my head looking at the rope as he stares up at me, he slowly extends his hand to his hip I watch his movement curiously as i pull my head back to observer. When a small but sharp pain spreads through my back leg. Though feeling the a prick of a sharp river rock I quickly turn seeing a small dagger imbedded in my leg, I growl at the man with a grey beard who had first spotted me and swing my large tail, the man being thrown to a tree. The group almost eminently take up arms again and charge at me. I let out another growl as I spread my large wings to take off into the air out of their reach. The archer fumbles for arrows but fails miserably, i go to jump up only to have my bottom left leg stuck to the ground. I growl seeing the glow surround the several roots that now wrap around my foot moving upward to my hip.
I hear a loud yell looking forward to see another man with raven hair with strands of greys run at me with a sword held high. I open my mouth and almost immediately flames burst from my jaws engulfing the man as he starts to scream. I look and see what I assume is whoever has trapped my leg with roots as their hands glow while looking at me. I rotate my head burning the witch aswell, I move my head back and forth burning the entirety of the group.
Once the flames die I lower back to the ground shaking the boy from my back. He falls of with a limp body, he appears to have fainted, I think to myself as look at the limp boy. I decide I have done enough for this human by not killing him on sight and also saving his life from my crimson flames, I leave him for his figure to be discovered by the next hunting party to come by.
~~~~~

I sore through the sky's far above the dense green area below, I wonder if the boy has been found, I think to myself, it was more then likely he was not there by choice but been dragged by a family member. I continue to fly until I hear a loud cry. It's distant but I can still pick up on it, I turn my body redirecting my path. The cry starts to become more distinguished the closer I get ,a new born,. Recognizing the cry I pick up my speed, new borns are extremely fragile. Their body's still soft lacking the rough scales that cover our body's once we start to mature. The cry's are very frantic, I start to become agitated. A baby dragons cry is meant to awake the protective and possessive nature of a dragon. Making us want to protect and guard from all danger. They lose this ability after their first 4-5 weeks of life...most of the time...

I land on the ground and find a small sack hanging from a medium size oak tree. The cry's have lowered to a small whimper, I slowly approach and grab the rope from which the sack hangs. As I lower it to the ground it falls open revealing a dark purple orb and a small pile of bones.

This is common trap to lure and capture different creatures, I've never seen it used for a dragon. The trap contains the body of a recently deceased creature and traps is wondering spirit in a orb, it releases a distress call automatically as a cry for peace luring any creature of that species. After realizing the situation I go to take off but am stopped by chains rapping around my legs like snakes. I struggle repeatedly before I spot a women in dark purple robes with amber locks traveling down her shoulders.

...a witch...
