Iris was a joy to be around. She was someone with a happy aura. Everyone around her was immediately happy. It was because she, herself, was happy. She was always happy. There was rarely a time where she was sad or angry.
Jasper, an empath, loved being around her. Her happiness drew him to her. She was like a beacon.
Emmett, a strong and muscular vampire, loved being around her because she was childish and always calling out for his attention.
Alice, a clairvoyant, loved shopping with her. The two had much in common when it came to shopping and always being happy together.
Rosalie, a vampire blessed with immense beauty, simply loved Iris. Having known about Iris's past made her determined to protect the small woman.
Carlisle, a vampire who took care of people, and Esme, a motherly figure who loved making sure everyone was comfortable, both loved Iris. She called them "dad" and "mom" constantly.
Edward and her were more like siblings. Iris called him "brother," as she did with Jasper and Emmett, but she meant it much more with Edward.
Edward loved looking into her mind. There wasn't once a negative thought with her. In the beginning, when she was first turned, all there was were negative thoughts, but her new family helped her through it.
Iris and Edward both used to share green eyes before they were turned. Now, they shared similar noses, cheekbones, even their eyes - though still colored - were similar.
But Iris had black hair - something that threw other people off when they told others that they were a family. That was where Emmett and Iris seemed more similar. Their hair matched and they were both mischievous.
But when Bella Swan entered the picture, their lives changed - for better or for worse, no one would know just yet.
