Jason sat his desk in his makeshift office. He tapped his fingers as he thought. His plan was working. He had 2/3’s of the band, getting the last one would seal the deal. He imagined the millions he would surely be paid. Then, he would disappear with the boys still and the money. He would continue to put Wesley in fights and soon enough Drew. The younger one, well, he may just be some weight that they could drop off with the pull of a trigger any day. Knowing that, the other two would be forced to stay in line. The money would just roll in. It was brilliant.

A knock at the door brought Jason back into focus.

“Who is it?” Jason yelled. In walked a man with spiked hair adorned in all black. He had a leather jacket over his shoulder and a motorcycle helmet under his arm. “Matt, what do you want?!”

“Money,” he smiled, making himself at home by dropping in a chair and throwing his feet up on Jason’s desk.

“We already paid you,” Jason spat.

“No, you paid me for following them and getting their room number back at the hotel,” He said with a smirk. “What about Tyler and Eddie? They’re still waiting for what you owe them! They rigged that contest, made sure to give you the time you needed to set up, and recorded the message for you! Tyler is in jail and Eddie is hiding. He needs the money to get out.”

“Ha! And you think I’m just gonna give it to you? Get real,” Jason laughed.

“Yup, Eddie promised me Tyler’s cut, besides if you don’t, well, I don’t know how much longer I can keep this secret,” Matt said dramatically, standing up and beginning to pace back and forth.

Jason sighed. “Tyler’s really in jail?”

“They say he’s getting serious time too,” Matt laughed.

“And Eddie’s too afraid to come out of hiding long enough to even get his money, what a chump.” Jason said with a sly smile.

“Right?! That’s what I said.”

“Whelp, than there’s only one thing to do…”

“Yeah, I’m sorry I had to threaten you and all, you know how it is with money and all. It’s just really important, ya’know, for Ed-“

He was suddenly cut off with a gun shot. Jason walked around his desk and over to where Matt had fallen. He waved the gun in his face. “Yeah, before you try to threaten someone, make sure you’re still useful to them.” He laughed and walked around the soon to be corpse and out the door. He continued to walk out the building where cars were waiting. He got into the passenger’s seat and looked back at a knocked out Wes. With that, they pulled off.

Keaton leaned against the backboard of his bed, as comfortable as he could at least. He had his computer carefully balanced on a pillow on his thighs. He clicked open the internet and YouTube, typing in “Emblem3 funny moments”. He scanned through the fan made videos, searching for one he hadn’t yet watched. He finally came upon one, put in his headphones, and clicked it. He watched the video in silence, smiling at parts. When it was over, he watched it again. And again.

He went to his replay once more when he felt uneasy, like he was being watched. He froze in paranoia, feeling the goose bumps raise on his arms. He listened to himself breathe before finally looking up. He flinched and jumped, though it was only his mom in the doorway.

“I knocked but when you didn’t answer, I got worried,” she said apologetically and walking over as Keaton took out his headphones.

“Oh no, it’s okay, I was just watching some-“He stumbled over his words as he tried to close the tab quickly. Not quick enough though as he looked up and saw his mom’s face, knowing she had seen.
