"To thine own self, be true"

-Shakespeare

========================

Sigrid sits up with a quiet gasp her skin burning as she shuffles out of bed, shaking and sweating.

Her skin cold but hot at the same time, like she was having drug withdrawals.

She sits with her side against her bed, her head resting on the furs, something was trying to worm its way into her head but her own mind was refusing to accept the vision.

She feels hands on her arms, her body still shaking her eyes droopy as if she was brain dead.

"Sigrid!", Jon asks the woman seeing her out of her mind.

Sweat beaded on her skin, her hair stuck to her face, she hadn't been out of her room once that day and came to wake her knowing she would hate it if she wasn't woken up.

"Sigrid", he calls gently placing his hand on her cheek making her steel blue eyes look at him but they seem to look through him.

Jon leaves her side briefly and picks up one of her shirts slipping it onto the female.

"Olly!", he calls, the boy appears at the open doorway.

"Get Sam please", the boy nods and runs off worry taking over his features as he sees the woman shaking.

A whimper escapes her lips as she lurches forward, her hands beginning to grip at her hair.

Jon's eyes widen and he quickly tries to make her stop, "Sig, please stop", he asks her, "Siggy stop", he asks and holds her close after prying her arms down keeping them in place, her back against his chest.

"Keep her like that", Floki says as he walks into the room with Sam beside him.

"She'll come out of it soon enough", he states.

Jon looks down as he keeps holding the woman, feeling her shiver.

"What is it?", Jon asks, "a small fault in our gifts to see futures, the funny thing about the gods giving us these gifts is that sometimes they don't want us seeing certain futures, this is the result, its a block on her mind and it is trying to wrap itself around the fact that she cannot see it".

Sigrid's eyes roll into the back of her head and she stops shaking her breathing returning.

A slight shiver moving through her as her mind comes back.

Sigrid stares ahead of her faintly noticing the arms wrapped securely around her.

"Sigrid", she hears causing her to snap back to reality confused she gently moves off the person trying to gain control over her limbs.

"What happened?", she asks, "you had a vision", Floki says moving around and sitting in front of her, her eyes looking right through him.

"I can't remember it", she mutters really hating she couldn't, now she just had a pounding headache, "fuck", she mutters.

Jon looks at the female who moved slower now, her movements seemingly hesitated and weak.

"I'll get you some water", Floki says and stands taking Sam's wrist both of them leaving the two alone.

"Are you alright?", Jon asks quietly his hands still on her waist.

Sigrid nods slowly, "I just hate it when that happens", she states, "does it happen often?", Jon aks.

Sigrid shakes her head and finally turns her head looking at Jon, steel blue eyes meeting his brown ones, her eyes showing how troubled she was.

Jon gently raises his hand resting it on her cheek as he softly strokes the flushed skin.

Sigrid shuts her eyes leaning into the warmth.

Jon gently brings the female to him once again.

Sigrid and Jon had sat there for hours comfortable with each other, neither of them really wanting to move from their spot.

Floki and Sam had come in and out to check on them and eventually, they decided to move.

Sigrid got dressed and chose to do some training.

Jon had messages to look over.

The woman moves past his office door as she practically feels his discomfort so without knocking she walks into his office seeing the Red lady with her dress drawn back.

Jon's eyes looking away from her but they snap to Sigrid as she enters.

"Shit sorry, I apologize, I'll be leaving", Sigrid says.

"No, I was just leaving, don't trouble yourself dark elf", Sigrid looks to the female with malice.

"I'm just about as dark as you are blood witch", she hisses.

Melisandre smiles and walks to the doorway and turns looking at Jon.

"You know nothing, Jon Snow", she says and walks away.

Sigrid clenches her jaw and closes the door.

"How'd you know?", Jon asks, "know what?", she asks as she sits across from him picking up a dagger.

"I was uncomfortable", Jon says, "just a feeling", she states and presses the tip of the dagger to her fingertip.

"Come on Sigrid, you always know", her blue eyes look to him.

"Just a feeling", she shrugs.

Jon smiles and Sigrid stands moving to the door.

"Thank you, by the way", she says as she places her hand on the handle, "for staying with me", with that she leaves.

Sigrid sits with the Princess Shireen who she had grown fond of over, the time they spent together mostly in the library.

Sigrid found herself teaching the girl a few more words to add to her mental book of words.

"Sigrid can you tell me about your home, Elessar?", the girl asks.

"It's been a long time since I've been there", Sigrid states suddenly realising she had forgotten what it was like.

"I can remember tall stone walls, large stone and ice pillars, a green lush underground forest and many people and houses".

"I'm sorry but I don't really remember", Sigrid states.

Shireen smiles, "that's okay", she says, Sigrid gives the girl a small smile, glad she wasn't a brat and tried to push things.
