That night, somewhere around 11:45 PM, the house shook with such a blood curling yell that it would send shivers down your back even in broad daylight.

Henry and Harry reached outside Elliot's room first. Inside, a wild scuffle was going on. When Henry, Harry and Alex managed to break in, Elliot lay dead on the room floor with a slit throat and large knife in his chest. The murderer had escaped. But the only way of escape was a connecting door , But on the other side of the door lay bed ridden Alice.

Christmas was nearing and Ealing police county men were taking their much needed break from solving several petty problems that usually ailed small suburbs like Ealing.

Inspector George Safarov was in a festive mood. He slammed a bottle of brandy on the table in front of his men and let out a hearty chuckle seeing the extremely bewildered expression on their faces.

It was a well know rule, one which George Safarov had made sure to impress upon any man joining his unit.

No drinking in police premises. Especially no drinking while on duty.

Any man breaking this particular rule would be 'seen to'. And that 'seeing to' as it was commonly referred to by the men, was the polar opposite of a pleasurable experience.

"Oh come on lads! I know what i said. But this is Christmas season. We have dealt with so many thefts, petty squabbles, kidnappings. We deserve this break. And after all, rules like promises.... Are always meant to be broken and i promise you.... No, I assure you, this will be one restful Christmas."

But sadly, Mr Safarov's statement of 'promises meant to be broken' proved to be true when he was assigned to lead the investigation on the Manor murder the very next day
