I reappear in the Forbidden Forest. I'm far away enough so I'm not in the range on the Anti-Apparation Charms. I look around, and start to walk closer to the edge of the forest. The teachers will be there, but no students. As I'm at the break of the trees, I stuff my map and wand in an old, broken, mossy tree trunk. I put the cloak on top of the trunk, making it seem invisible. I turn into my fox, and instantly start to calm.
The trees get taller, as the grass earns a stronger dew scent. Hagrid's hut has some smoke coming out of the chimeny. Is that pie? I sniff eagerly, and start making my way down the grass. I skip around, and soon enough climb up Hagrid's stone steps. I jump up and place my front paws on the door, banging. I jump down. The door opens.
"'Ello there, fox!" He exclaims, bending down to pick me up. He carries me inside, and closes the door. He trudges over, loudly, to the chairs set by the fire. He sets me down in an old wooden rocking chair, and walks over to a table. There is a pie on it, along with a mug. He opens a cabinent, and takes out human-sized plates and a wide cup. Hagrid pours a drink (Butterbeer?) into the wide cup, and then cuts up a piece of pie. He sets that on the plate. He picks up the cup and plate and comes over to me. The chair is huge, Hagrid-sized, so the seat has a big portion left. Hagrid smiles at me, his beard all messy. He puts down the cup and plate.
"Eat 'er up!" Hagrid says, clapping his hands. He walks back over to his plate and cup, and then comes back and sits in the chair across from me. A table for him is set up, and he puts the food and drink on it. I look at what he gave me. The pie has a dark blue filling. Blueberries? It's a golden brown crust, liek a fading sunset. The blueberries are like the lake I jumped in with Harry and ROn. A deep blue. The wide mug does have butterbeer in it. It's foaming at the top, with droplets of the actually drink on it. Hagrid motions to eat the food. I lean towards it, cautiously. Normally, Hagrid's cooking isn't up to par.
I whine a little, and lean closer. It smells so good! I take a bite of the pie and listen to the fire cackling. It's silent in Hagrid's hut except for my munching and the fire. I lap up the Butterbeer, enjoying it's warmth in my stomcach. "Good, right?" Hagrid says. I bark to show my pleasure. I take another bite of the pie and close my eyes. As I'm chewing, someone picks me up with callous hands that feel rough against my fur. Someone's rubbing my back and I thump my tail.
"Got loose again," A rough voice whispers. "Sorry Hagrid. Gotta go."
"It all right, Sirius." Hagrid booms. Sirius? I open my eyes just as Sirius turns to leave. Lights flash before me. We land back in Grimmauld Place, in Sirius' bedroom. The door is shut, and I feel the Anti-Apparation charm he just put on. He places the cloak, my map, and wand in a drawer. He locks it with a key that he puts in his pocket. He holds out his wand and he turns to face me. I jumped out of his arms.
