"Cancelled?" Ron's hushed voice asked. "What do you mean, cancelled?"
"There was a disturbance with the Unspeakables and the Time Room. So, we won't have training for about a week." Harry whispered back softly. Time Room? Time Room. Oh no. Did George and I have something to do with that? I turn around, facing the Burrow's living room. It's morning. No nightmares?
"Morning Hermione." Harry says softly, looking at me for a moment.
"Why didn't I have nightmares?" I ask quickly, pulling the blanket tighter around me. He shrugs.
"Don't know..." He looks out the window.
"Harry James Potter..." I growl. "I told you that I don't want Dreamless Sleep Potions!"
"Dammit Hermione!" He exclaims, slamming his hand on the coffee table. "You need them!" I stand up, in a baggy Holyhead Harpies shirt I borrowed from Ginny.
"I don't want to get addicted! There are severe consequences from that!"
"You need it! I don't want you suffering all the time!" He says, stepping closer to me. I put my hands on my hips.
"Maybe I deserve to suffer!"
"Why?" He shouts.
"Because I'm a mudblood!"
Because I'm a mudblood. Harry's staring at me. He then narrows his eyes at me. He grabs my elbow and we disapparate, Ron watching us, confused.I open my eyes, and clutch my wand. We're at Grimmauld Place!
"Sirius!" Harry exclaims, dragging me to the living room. I hear a clang from the kitchen and Sirius comes speeding in. I groan. I can't do this. I just got back to my timeline. He's only wearing dark jeans. His hair is a mess.
"You're here early. What's up?" He smiles, a laid back smile, and plops down on a chair, putting his feet on a coffee table. Harry pushes me down on a blue seat and glares at me.
"She yelled at me."
"'Bout what?"
"That I gave her Dreamless Sleep Potion."
"Ah, c'mon," Sirius says, waving a hand. "She doesn't need that."
Can they stop talking about me like I'm not standing right here?
"Sirius. She does. She said she deserved the nightmares and suffering."
"Why?" Sirius sighed, scratching his head.
"Tell him, Hermione." Harry's voice was sharp. I winced. That was never good.
"Because I'm a mudblood." I mumbled. Sirius glanced at me directly now.
"What?"
"Because I'm a mudblood." I said, a little louder. The reaction was simultaneous. He slammed his fist on the table.
"Go upstairs."
"What?" I asked, startled. I leaned back in the seat, as Sirius glared at me.
"Upstairs. Spare room. Now." His face was red. I hesitated and looked at Harry. He looked away. I nodded slowly. I got up and pulled the shirt a little lower, walking out of the kitchen.
Sirius was never like this before. He's more like...a caring parent. Plus, he's never acted like that before. I trudge up the steps, and try to remember where the spare room was. The left on the third floor? I climb another floor and turn the corner, pushing open a door. The room I enter is about the size of Ginny's room. There's a canopy against the wall in the center. Red curtains are hung on the window. The rug is a gold and red color. A chest is at the foot of the bed. A dresser is on the left wall, along with a rocking chair, fireplace, and bookcase all arranged in the right.
I walk over to the bed and sit on it, taking out my wand. I've been back home for an hour. I feel as if the war was two hours ago. I shake my head quickly. I have to get out of the past. Yesterday, apparently, was the first day of Auror Training. So, have I've actually been gone at all? And what happened yesterday afternoon?
I lightly brush the quilt on the bed. It's soft. I hold out my wand. 10¾", vine wood, dragon heartstring. It's powerful. For me. I lay back on the bed and close my eyes. I'm exhausted. As I'm about to fall asleep, someone bangs the door open.
"Who's there?" I exclaim, jumping up. I shoot off a non-verbal stupefy, which Sirius blocks.
"Give me that." He growls, taking my wand.
"I can still do magic." I point out.
"I'll be stronger."
Stupefy. He blocks it.
"When'd you learn that?" Sirius asks, confused. I try to play it off neutral, but I don't know if I'm supposed to know how to be this powerful.
"Sit." He orders. I gulp and comply. He binds me to the bed.
"Hey!" I exclaim. He starts to pace, putting the two wands in his back pocket. I watch him as he walks back and forth, his hands behind his back.
"Why?" He asks suddenly, turning towards me. I shrug.
"Not exactly sure." I reply in a soft voice.
"You don't deserve any of that, Hermione."
I pluck an imaginary dust ball off the bed.
"You know only part of my family thinks that. The blood-supremists."
I look out the window. It's sunny out, and there's people on the streets. "I could apparate." I say.
"To where? You're wearing a baggy shirt and sweats."
"Fred and George won't care." I mumble.
"But I do!" His voice gets louder.
"Since when have you become the responsible father figure?" I suddenly ask, my voice raising. "When have you gotten to boss me and Harry around? I have parents!"
"Not anymore!" He shouts. "I should be the one to take care of you two now!"
"I don't want anyone to take care of me! I don't need anyone to take care of me!" I keep trying to break the binds. And then, I remember I can do wandless magic. I stand up, rubbing my arm.
"Yes you do!" He shouts. "You're only seventeen! Eighteen!"
"I've been through a war, Sirius," I start to glare at him. "And, sometimes, if you think about it, I've been through more than you." I watch his reaction. He opens and closes his mouth like a fish. I huff and turn, disapparating.

In the book, I'm thinking maybe three or four more chapters around the 1000ish word length. But don't forget, I'm writing the sequel!!
