Shouldn't I be back in my time? I'm lying on a bed in the Burrow. But, it's not my new one because it probably hasn't been built yet. Plus, the blanket feels different. I should be in my room. My shield must have worked, though. That's good. I close my eyes and wince. My head is killing me. I feel sticky, too. Blood? I can't open my eyes, though. The light hurts too much.
"Turn off the light," I try and say. It comes out in a strangled whisper. Someone must have heard me because the pain in my head and eyes go away. Something else in my head hurt's though. Light behind my eyes are gone. I wait a minute, and force my eyes open. It's dark, and someone is sitting right next to me in a chair. I see the outline. Or, is it two? Is someone else behind them? Or next to them? I think I see two heads right by me sitting in chairs. Who's room, though?
"Better?" A hushed voice askes. It's deeper than Mrs. Weasley's, Ginny's, Harry's, Ron's, Percy's, Mr. Weasley, and Bill's voice. Not, persay, deeper, but a different tone. Probably not Charlie. SO, the twin's? Am I with the twin's?
"It's to hard for her to answer, Freddie." A voice whispers back. Smart, that one. George and Fred then.
"Okay, well, it's probably better anyway." Fred says. I turn my head so I can look at them more clearly. My eyes had adjusted to the dark, so I see them. I'm lying on a bed in the Twin's room. They're sitting in chairs at the edge of the bed, with a table on the side of George. Fred is the one closer to my head. The table has medical things on it, and some potions. I try and talk, but my throat burns. I can only egt a few words out at a time.
"What happened?" It's the strangled whisper again.
"Well, Granger," Fred says. George stands up and picks up a potion from the table. "You were fighting the Death Eater's. Finally, we were able to come to you after awhile. We found you just as Bellatrix disapparated. But, you were very hurt. It will take you a long time to recover. You might be late going back to Hogwarts." I closed my eyes when I heard him talking. I'm that hurt? I opned my eyes up. George was closer to me. It looked like he was holding a green potion.
"Drink, Granger." George says in a soft voice. I open my mouth and he pours it in. I attempt to swallow it and do with difficulty. "Good." He says. I have an odd feeling in my stomach. Was I hurt there? I widen my eyes and conjure a basin. My mum used to do this for me when I was little. I would just throw-up in that. My throat starts to burn and I feel sick. I sit up and puke in the basin. I still feel horrible. I lean back and Fred cleans the basin. I push the blankets off me and groan. I look at them. They seem worried. Fred places a hand on my forehead.
"I think she has a fever, Georgie." He says. George sighs.
"I'll get Mum." He leaves the room and shuts the door quietly. My breath starts to get ragged. Why do I feel like this? Fred places his hand on my and gives a squeeze.
"It'll be fine, Mione," He says. I close my eyes and try to concentrate on his voice. He snorts. "Well, actually, nothing will ever ever be fine. You'll get better, though, Granger. You're strong. You fought Belltrix twice?" I nod my head. "Yeah. And you didn't die!" He chuckles. "Wait, I shouldn't be talking about death. I'll talk about...Ginny's Pgymy Puff!" Fred exclaims. I smile and start to laugh. Then, my stomach starts to feel as if it's spinning. I throw off Fred's hand and throw-up again. Fred starts to rub circles on my back. He's whispering to me but I don't know what he's saying. He cleans it again and I lay back down. Closing my eyes, I take Fred's hand in mine. Suddenly, the door is opened and three people come in. More people are in the hallway but the door closes.
"Shh, now, be quiet Sirius!" Is that Mrs. Weasley? I open my eyes but I start to see stars. I close them again and try to breathe. "Okay, George, Fred, she has a fever?" The Twin's start to talk, but Fred doesn't let go of my hand. I feel sick.
"Okay, Hermione. I'm going to have to give you some potions. Just breathe and it will be okay." Mrs. Weasley tells me. Someone starts to run a hand through my hair. Maybe Fred's other hand?
"Now, Sirius, you must know which potions to use. Help me to choose." Mrs. Weasley says. SHe manages to keep her voice calm. I hear the clink of the potions hitting each other and being picked up.
"Well, the Blood-Replenishing Potion. This blue sparkly one, looking at her," I hear a gasp from Mrs. Weasley. "Use Fred and George's bruise removel paste. That will work. And we can get some burn-healing paste. Remus might have that. It will be good to have some Calming Draught on hand. Lily used it sometimes. Try a Deflating Draught for her arm. A Draught of Peace and Dreamless Sleep Potion will be good as well, for the healthy state of mind. You must have some Dittany as well. We could try and get a Lung Clearing Potion from St. Mungos. Try Murtlap Essence as well for her cheek. That spot, there? SKele-Gro. SLeeping Draught, maybe. Oh, yes, and a Wound-Cleaning Potion." Sirius stopped talking. I started to worry. Am I that unhealthy? ANd, shouldn't I be back in my own time?
"That much?" Fred voices my question. I feel Sirius lean over me and lightly touch my head.
"Yes. Bellatrix wasn't going easy, but there were other Death Eater's also. Let's have her sleep
for an hour or two, and when she wakes up we'll give her the potions." Sirius opens the door slowly, with George and Mrs. Weasley following him. Once the door closes, Fred starts to talk.
"Please get better, Hermione. Please." I fell asleep to his desperate pleas, thinking that I needed to get better, too.
I'm woken up to the soft voice of Fred. How long have I've been sleeping? I'm still hurting, so I'm not back in my own time. Do I have to get better to go back? "Okay Hermione, take this potion. It will make you feel better." He holds my chin and I open my mouth, my eyes still closed. A liqiud is poured down my throat and I close my mouth. It starts to burn and Fred immediately puts his hands on each side of my face. "Don't throw up, Hermione. Try and swallow this. Don't trow it up. You need to get better." He started to rub a funger along my cheek. Painfully, I clenched my jaw. I started to swallow again. That feeling started to fade away, and the potion stayed in my stomach. Then, I threw off the blankets. "Hot?" Fred asked. I nodded. He let go off my head and I heard him pick up another potion.
I opened my eyes. The lights were on and I didn't have a headache. Thank god. He looked at me. He smiled. "Hey. Drink this." I swallowed the blue potion and I started to feel the fever go away. He turned back towards the table and picked up a pile of bandages. He started to place them on the bed. I moved over to make room for them.
"Now, I have to reapply these. Try not to move a lot." Fred told me, first picking up my right forearm.
"The left arm's fine, for some reason. Do you know why?" He asked, glancing at me. Fine? My scar is on my left arm. And the shield couldn't have just blocked that arm. I shook my head and turned my head to watch what Fred was doing. I had burns and small scars all over my arm. He took a bottle which had a label on it. It read: Weasley Wizard Wheezes' Bruise Removel Paste. Another canistar he took was: Lunyistar's Deflating Draught. He opened the deflating draught It was the paste version. He started to rub some near my elbow. Then, he took the bruise removel paste. He rubbed that on my right cheek, right leg, my nose, my right arm, and on my stomach. Once he put those away, he took another potion.
"Mum got some from St. Mungos. This one too. Now, drink up Granger." It was a disgusting yellow and green color. I winced just looking at it. Reluctantly, I swallowed it down and started to cough. I saw Fred smiling.
"Don't worry now, that's supposed to happen. Clearin' up your lungs, Mum said," After a few minutes, my cough's started to reduce. They soon were gone. He held up a bottle.
"Dittany," I whispered, looking at him. My voice sounded a little stronger. He nodded.
"For your ribs." He liftedup my shirt a little bit so he could see my ribs. I glanced down. They were all discolored. Like a huge black and blue. I couldn't see my ribs, which was good, but they hurt. Broken, maybe. He started to rub the dittany on my ribs, and my breathing started to become more even. It was easier to breathe. After about five minutes, he brought my shirt back down. Then, he looked at me. He held up a purple potion Madame Pomfrey used numerous times on Harry. I drank it, and my ribs started to hurt like hell. It was a burning sensation, and as soon as it started it stopped.
"Skele-Gro," Fred mumbled, getting another potion. He handed me a red potion. I drank it. It was a Blood-Replenishing POtion. "Now, I'll give this too you." It was a blue sparkly one. I looked at him.
"What is it?" I asked.
"No matter," Fred said, attempting to smile at me. He poured it down, and I swallowed. Then, he immediately gave me a Dreamless Sleep Potion and a Sleeping Draught. As my eyes started to close, I felt two things. The lower part of my body was feeling tingly, like pins and needles. I also felt a rush of compassion for Fred as sleep overtook me.A/N
