chapter 5

I woke up the next morning gasping for air. I don't remember much of my bad dream but I know I was running from something. I calmed down and then looked at my alarm clock. 6:30 A.M. Great my only day off and I wake up at the crack of dawn. I got out of bed and went and took a shower then got ready for the day. Around nine i texted Meg and asked her if she wanted to come over. She sure and she will be here in 10.
knock knock.
I opened the door and Meg and Jade Lee came in. Meg is about 5ft and is Asian but she grew up in New York. She has a cute two year old girl named Jade Lee. Meg got married when she was 26 and had Jade a year later. Dave (Megs husband) is American and about an inch taller then me. He has blond hair and brown eyes he's a lawyer and is going to school to become a judge. He is a great guy and treats Meg well. I would say they are the cutest family ever.
"Hey Jade Lee! Hows my favorite girl in the world" I asked taking her from Meg
" oh she's great! Today she decide that waking up at 3 in the morning, getting out of her crib and coloring on the walls is OK with mommy!" Meg said smiling " so yeah she's an angel today"
I laughed " your a wittle trouble maker aren't you" i said said to Jade while poking her belly.
we walked into the living room and i got a blanket for jade to sit on and play with her toys while Meg and I talked.
"Last night was so fun I am glad Dave let me go, I mean i love Jade but sometimes i just need to get away" Meg said
" yeah, well i am just stressing about the dumb article" i said
" its ok i am sure you will get it done, mind if i use the ladies room" Meg asked
"yeah sure" i said laughing because she said "Ladies room"
Meg came back and sat back down
" what happened to your dress" she asked
" oh I was walking into Little Cup Of Tea when some guy ran into me and got his coffee all over me" i replied while standing up from playing with Jade.
"ooh was he cute?"
" Meg he was not cute...... he was to die for! He was tall,dark,and handsome oh and he had a British accent!" i said
"Did you get his number???" Meg asked
" No......I got his card!" I said
"Oh My Gosh!!! Have you called him???!!"
"NO! I don't even know him"
" Honey that's why you call him! Wheres the ca..."'
"Nope" i said cutting her off " there is know way i am calling him"
" I didn't say you would call him, i will dial the number if you want" Meg said smiling
" well if you dont know where the card is i guess you cant call it can you?"
"its on top of your fridge" she said running into the kitchen
Blast! I really have to find a better spot! i ran after her and it was to late she was already punching in the numbers.
"MEG!!!!"
she smiled and put it on speaker.
ring.ring.ring.ring.
don't answer don't answer don't answer.
"Hello?"
