He dies

Jace: He sacrificed his life for us. For me. For Clary. So that Valentine wouldn't take over. He was always so stubborn... He may be gone but at least I know he cared.

Alec: I loved him a lot. He didn't deserve to die... but at least he died doing what he loved. Going on missions. Helping people. Why did he have to go?

Simon: He... he knew the risk. But he took it. For me. He wanted to get rid of the mark. He did it for me. He died for me.

Magnus: How? Why? Why him? Why take him away from me? He was my everything and now he's gone.

Raphael: He disappeared. Then he died. He hurt me twice. But I loved him. I needed him. I love him... I need him.
