Have you ever felt so desperate you wanted to scream and cry? Thats how I felt a whole year after I went down to Earth with the Commanders. I hadn't seen Levi since then, even when the others went to deal with demon problems. Had he been punished for speaking to me? Then there was Toki. He still wasn't awake.

It was my turn to look after Toki. Me and Petra sat beside where he lay, me messing with her hair. She had grown it longer, and now it fell in an amber cascade to half way down her back. I had just left my (h/c) hair as it was. Levi would have wanted it that way.

'Do you think he's ever going to wake up?' Petra asked, nodding at the figure before us.

'I don't know,' I replied after hesitating for a moment, 'I mean, he should. The longest anyone has been under is fifteen years, a year doesn't compare.'

Petra sighed, and nodded.

'I know,' she began, 'but Toki is stronger than other people. He should have woken up by now. I've seen people half as weak as him sustain injuries twice as bad and only be under for a week.'

I stayed silent. It was true. So why wasn't Toki waking up?

Footsteps came from behind us. I turned to see Xan.

'Hey,' he smiled, before sitting down beside us, 'I think I know why he's still asleep.'

Me and Petra were listening insantly.

'Why?' We asked in unison.

'Because of the person who injured him. Do you remember the eyes Levi had? They were red. And his claws were longer, and sharper. He also referred to himself as the Lord of Fire or some bullshit. Maybe because he's a higher ranking demon he did more damage than we initially thought. I don't know.'

I shrugged, and turned to see Petra's opinion. She was pale white.

'Did... Did you say Levi?' She asked quietly. Xan swore.

'Yeah...' I whispered. Her eyes grew wide, and she began to tremble.

'L..Levi did this?'

'Petra, Levi lost his memory. So 'he' didn't do it. Something that had his body did.' I reassured, cursing Xan for letting it slip that we had encountered Levi. Now Petra was sure to interrogate me.

'Levi... Lost his memory? You spoke to him and didn't tell me!?' She shrieked. I looked at Xan for help, but he shrugged.

'I'm sorry I didn't tell you,' I murmured. Petra snorted.

'Some friend you are!' She stormed away. Me and Xan watched her go.

'Sorry about that.' Xan said. I grinned.

'She'll get over it!'

He laughed and placed his arm around my waist. I didn't mind; he always did it and it was comforting.

'Are you two dating?' A voice asked. A voice that I hadn't heard in a long tine.

'Toki!' Xan smiled, hugging him tightly, 'Damn is that the first thing you have to ask? No we aren't!'

Toki sat up, pushing Xan away, and turned to me.

'Any luck with Levi?' He asked. I shook my head and he sighed.

'Well, we'd better go and let the others know I'm awake. How long has it been, a week?'

A cold stillness settled over me. A week. If only. It was almost funny that he thought that.

'You were under for a year, Toki,' I told him, causing his dark eyes to widen and his mouth to fall agape.

'W..What?!'

'Yahooo! Tokii!' A joyful voice called. Leya barged into the shocked man, knocking him to the floor and herself flying. I helped him up as now Leya was busy smiling and giggling, her auburn hair shifting as she did. Janet appeared after her, more elegant and proper.

'I'm glad to see you're awake, Toki,' she purred with a voice like honey, running her manicured nails through his hair. It took a glare from Ed, who had accompanied the two girls, to get her away.

'Nice to see you too,' he smirked, before looking around, 'has it really been a whole year?' He inquired. Xan nodded.

'A lot has happened!' Leya began, 'That Eren kid got kidnapped by Bertholdt and Reiner, who turned out to be ti...'

'I don't want to know,' he sighed.
Toki had never really been intrested in the Titan shifters at all, unlike Leya and Ed, who were completely intrigued by the phenomena.
