It's three hours till my date with Niall. Well, it isn't a date because we aren't dating, but I don't know what else to call it. I don't know what to wear, how to do my hair, or how to do my makeup. I am totally lost. "Aliyah! I need your help!" I screamed from my room. She came in and looked at me with anger, she was in the middle of doing her hair. "What do you want from me?" Aliyah said as she rolled her eyes. "Well, I need cute clothes, and a cute hairstyle, and cute makeup." "What? For your date?" "It's not a date! but, yes." Aliyah smiled and started to rummaging through my closet. She kept throwing clothes at me to try on. I think I have tried on at least 30 outfits. I finally found one that was cute. It took Aliyah an hour to do my hair but it came out really nice. I could not complain with my end result. [x] It's twenty minutes till Niall comes. I'm having a mini-heart attack. *beep beep* That was Niall. "Just breathe. Everything is going to be okay." Aliyah said. "Niall's getting it in tonight!" Kristi screamed from her bedroom. "Fuck you too!" I screamed back. I left the flat and headed towards Nialls car. "Make sure you use a condom!" Aliyah screamed from the window. Niall heard that, great. I just gave her the finger. I got in Niall's car."Sorry about the girls." "It's okay. The boys wouldn't stop annoying me about this. Why cant two friends just go out together? Is it bad to just hang out with your friend if she's a girl?" "Yeah friends.." I said with a half smile. So that's what this is. Just two friends. I mean, I didn't expect us to get together but I had hope. There was a part of me that thought, just maybe, he would like me, as more than a friend. There was an awkward silence. Niall turned up the radio and Stereo Hearts came on. Niall started singing. Why the hell did he have to be so damn cute. He could have at least had a horrible voice. But no, He had the voice of a god. He was absolutely perfect and I was just a potato. I just smiled at him trying to make it less awkward. Finally, after the silent car ride, besides Niall's singing, we got to the restaurant. It looked small and dull on the outside. "This place is so much fun, trust me." Niall said with the biggest smile on his face. We walked and I couldn't even here my own thoughts. There was music blasting, people dancing, and the whole place smelt like boardwalk fries. It bumped up my attitude, but it was so loud. How could we just talk? I just smiled and decided to start a conversation. "So is this where you bring all your friends that are girls?" "Only the special ones." he said as he winked at me. Was that him flirting? We are just friends. I had to get that in my head, Just Friends.

Nialls POV

Melissa was just looking around with a blank stare. She had a smile on her face, but I could tell she wasn't happy. Why the fuck did I say just friends? I like her way more than a friend, it's just, when I saw her, I froze. She just looked so beautiful. She wanted to leave, I could tell. I guess she wasn't much of a partier, or it was just a really awkward first date. "Do you wanna go somewhere else?" I asked hoping for a yes. She just nodded. I took her hand and led her out of the crowded place. She stood close to me because she didn't want to get separated. We finally got out and hopped in the car. "Wanna go get some pizza?" "I would love too." She said with a smile on her face. That was her real smile, the one that meant she was really happy. We pulled up to a old pizzeria. We walked in and it was empty. "What do you want to eat?" "I'll have two slices with a large Coke." "Okay." I ordered the food and it was down in five minutes. The rest of the date was pretty normal. I learned a lot more about her that made me like her even more. "I'm stuffed." I said while I rubbed my stomach."M-e too." she tried to say in between hiccups. We both started to laugh. We couldn't stop because between each laugh came another hiccup. "I do-n't know wh-ere that ca-me fr-om!" She said as she still hiccuped. We walked to the car together still laughing. The car ride home was silent beside the hiccups. I regret telling her I only wanted to be friends. Now I will never get the girl of my dreams.

Melissa's POV

I felt like such a retard hiccuping the whole way home in complete silence. We finally arrived at my flat. Kristi and Aliyah weren't home. I didn't see their car in the lot. He walked me up to the room. "Thanks for today." I said while awkwardly playing with my keys. "It was fun." He said while shuffling his feet. We both stood there for a few seconds in silence. We both wanted to say good bye but I went for a hug while he went for a kiss on the cheek. It turned into this awkward situation. It felt like he was hugging his grandma, not his friend that's a girl. We both ignored the fact that we just had a really awkward hug thing and just headed separate ways. I was at the door fiddling with my keys, trying to unlock it, while Niall walked towards the stairs. You could hear my keys jingling around in the silence. I finally got inside and sat up against the door. That had to have been one of the most awkward time of my life. One, He only liked me as a friend and Two, We both know that how we just hugged was uncomfortable and odd. Before I could even think about the whole night there was a knock on the door. I stood up and unlocked it, and opened it. "Nia-" But before I could finish, I was interrupted by a kiss..
