Violet couldn't take her eyes of off him. She didn't even know who he was but her eyes couldn't and wouldn't leave him.

The stranger stood with his back to Violet but she knew she had to go up to him. She couldn't explain why but she felt like if she didn't she would really kick herself.

She hadn't even seen his face yet but she just knew he would be perfect for her. He already had the height part down and he was built like a tree trunk. He was definitely over 6'5" and she could tell by the way his arms were bulging out of his shirt that muscular didn't even begin to describe him.

Taking a deep breath for some extra courage, she walked over to him before she could chicken out.

What was the worst that could happen, she thought to herself.

He even smelled good, she thought as she walked up behind him.

She cleared her throat and waited for her future husband to respond.

He didn't move a muscle so she tried again.

She cleared her throat again, a bit louder this time. She tried to look nonchalant though her heart was hammering in her chest.

Her eyebrows knitted together in confusion as she heard a low, rumbling sound.

It was pretty loud in the mall being that it was a Saturday so she tried one more time, this time using words.

"Excuse m-" she tried for the third time.

"Go away" his voice was much deeper than she imagined and it momentarily distracted her from what he said.

"But I-"

"I. Don't. Care." he gritted out, "Go away"

Dejected, Violet breathed out a sigh of annoyance. He didn't have to be so rude. A simple no thanks would have sufficed.

Maybe her not-so-future husband wasn't perfect for her after all.

Her shoulders hunched and she turned to walk away.

A group of boys came barrelling through the mall, laughing and shoving at each other. One of them was pushed too hard and bumped into Violet, knocking her sideways and dropping her phone on the ground. She reached out and managed to grab hold of someone's arm before righting herself.

Her hand felt tingly, like pins and needles but without the uncomfortable feeling of numbness.

The boy apologised, successfully distracting her from her hand before he and his group of friends moved on.

Picking up her phone, she noticed two cracks going down the length of the screen. Great.

Violet grumbled under her breath before walking away. She was not having a great day. First, she loses her wallet so she had to embarrassingly leave her clothes with the cashier and make a hasty exit. Second, her attempt at trying to talk to a guy left her with mental pie all over her face and now this.

"Hey!" a deep voice called out from behind her but she kept walking. She just wanted to go home, get under her biggest blanket and binge watch netflix.

A hand reached out, pulling her arm and stopping her from going any further.

"Hold on" he said and her eyes widened for a second when she realised who was speaking.

Her not-so-future husband stood before her in all his glory.

She was right, he was definitely handsome.
