Eris P.O.V.
It was cloudy outside, and thunder sounded softly and few miles north. It looked like the kind of day where everything would go wrong. But it's my birthday, and I'm turning eight, so in my eyes, nothing could go wrong today. Smiling, I made my way towards my wardrobe, similar to the one I had seen in a movie about a magical world and a lion. I threw open the doors enthusiastically, pulling out my favorite brown leather jacket, white T-shirt, and black skirt. An outstanding outfit fit for the future best captain. Fitting, don't you think?

"Eris! Where are you my little captain? I have a present for the little birthday girl!" Eris squealed happily, and ran into the family room excitedly, hopping from foot to foot in anticipation. "I'm here! I'm here! What is it?!" Eris held still for just a moment, looking up at her father hopefully, smiling warmly.
Thorne smiled as he lifted his eight year old, before pulling her into a warm hug. "It's outside pumpkin, but you can't fly it yet" he wiggled his eyebrows mysteriously. "Is momma coming to see me today?" Carswell cleared his throat awkward, a tint of pain flashing through his eyes at the thought of his late wife. "She's busy with work today captain, but maybe next year." He lied softly, before carrying her to the backyard and setting her on her feet. "See if you can find the present!" Eris dashed off and around the house, and only then did Thorne let his smile falter.

"ERIS! ERIS HANG ON!!!" Thorne cried out as his daughter was dragged away forcefully by masked strangers clad in blue. "Daddy! Daddy please don't let them take me!" the eight year old child called out, kicking the figure holding her in the chin. They loosened their grip, leaving Eris an opening to wriggle free. She ran as fast as her short legs would carry her. She was an arms length from her father. Their fingers brushed against each other's, hope sparking in their eyes. But then they fell into reality. The reality where Cress was dead. The reality where Eris was yanked back forcefully and dragged away just before she could grasp her fathers hand. The reality, where she was being taken to Luna.
