Returning To My Brothers Best Friend

Part 1

How did I find myself on an airplane going back to Dallas? My mother guilt tripping me that's how

It's been 5 years now since I've been home , Since I've seen him , Since I've seen mason .

I'm now a children's doctor and a good one at that . I work with children of all age and  sizes the look on their faces when  everything's over gives me pride and joy to know that everything worked out . the couples that come in give me hope  for the future .  I board my plane and quickly fall asleep listening to my old playlists

* 3 hours later *.
I land at the airport , and grab my bags . Then walk to go find my brother Caleb
I couldn't be more happy to see him .  I heard my phone ding  and went to dig it out my jacket .

Caleb : I'm outside
Me : okay on my way

I make my way outside to find my big  brother I ran up and jumped on him 
" I missed you skipper " he tells  to me
" missed you to c " I tell him

" Okay well we've got an impatient mom whose preparing a welcome home  dinner . " he tells me

On the way home we talk about everything over the years I tell him more about my job and all that . We normally call about 3 time a week so we pretty much already knew everything, but it was nice to talk in person after 5 years .

* 30 minuets later *

"Alex , wake up ".  
" Alex !" I feel some one shaking me
"Get up ! we're home. " I hear Caleb

" I'm up ! I'm up! " I tell him 
We walk to the door , and instead of knocking we just walk right in to have all the lights cut on and screams thrown my way
" Alex , my baby your home ! " I make out my mom's voice
I run up to her and squeeze her tight I've missed my mother's hugs .
" Hey mom " I whisper to her
We talk and tell each other how much we loved and missed each other

Later that evening When I was done  catching up with Lacey and Brooke  I decided to call it a night I had a long flight and was tired .

I walk into my old room go to my closet and get the shoe box i buried in the back before I left. I got through all the pictures and letters form mine and masons secret 2 year relation ship .

I hear a knock and then my door opening , i look up to see my mother

" hey honey , how are you ?" she ask

" I don't know mom , good I guess . just tired " i tell her

she kisses me on the forehead and sighs " I guess I'll let you sleep . Sweet dreams " i climb in bed after slipping the shoe box under my bed with one thought on my mind

Why did he let me go ??

i'm standing looking in the mirror when two strong arms rap around me i look back to see mason i turn around in his arms to have him start sucking , biting, and nibbling on my neck

" mason" i moan

" i missed you babe " he tells me then connects out lips

" MASON ! WHERE ARE YOU BRO " were hear Caleb yell

" COMING BRO I'M IN THE BATHROOM" he calls back

" we should be just tell him "I sigh

" No ! what are you thinking? " he asks

" I'm thinking i don't want to be your dirty little secret anymore . I want to hold your hand and kiss you in public . What are you embarrassed" i respond

" look i have to go , your brothers waiting "

" mas-" i get cut off by my door slamming

I bolt awake from my dream about 5 years ago

i get up and walk down stairs to get some warm milk

i see Caleb standing in the fridge

" Caleb , pass me the milk " i call out to him while i reach for the mug

" Sure but i'm not Caleb "

i know that voice from anywhere the same voice that broke my heart many years ago

I almost drop my mug . I slowly turn around to find him starring at me

i breathed out "what are you doing here?" I whisper yell to him
