A blood curdling scream pierced the air, and Alex hardly realized that the high pitched sound had come from her. She stared at the four creatures before her, terror eating away at ever part of her.

Before her, in the cold night stood four hideously black creatures. Their heads were crowned with a pair of long pointy horns, that resembled that of a goat or cow each. Long tails sprouted from their rear ends, the tip of each resembling that of an arrow.

From what she could see in the little  crescent moonlight

provided, they seemed to have one eye each where their mouth was supposed to be. And their mouths were in the place of where a normal person's nose would be.

They gave off a disturbing aura, and it sent shivers down Alex's spine. She looked down at her hand were one of the beasts had grabbed her, and quickly wrenched it out of its grasp, like it was on fire. Alex could not comprehend what was going on and before something terrible could happen to her she turned and ran as fast as her legs would carry her.

Maybe this was just Karma coming back to bite her in the ass. She really shouldn't have killed that poor old man.

Instead of running to the safety of the cabin, Alex ran in the opposite direction, away from it and into the woods.

Before she could get farther than a few feet into the woods, one of the beastly creatures appeared before her, blocking her path. Quickly she spun in the opposite direction and started running again.

Out of nowhere like the first, another beast appeared in front of her. She turned around to dart in another direction, but the creatures outsmarted her and she found all four forming a circle, and closing in on her.

Without giving it a second thought Alex screamed bloody murded, hoping that the noises would scare the horrid things away.

Irritation flashed across the faces of the beasts before they started chanting a chorus of words, that Alex couldn't understand. "Inti Mantra Tiye Coya. Sanyu Baduio Werquio Dlok."

As they chanted Alex felt light headed and she could barley stand on her own two feet.  Her head was too heavy for her body and her legs wobbled. She sank to the ground, knackered. Her muscles ached, she couldn't even gather the strength to scream anymore. She just lay down on the wet grass and waited for her end to come.

Alex lay there thinking about how stupid she was.

Who follows a little voice in their head thats surely not their conscience. She was never to smart of a child, but she had never realized how much of an idiot she was until now.

As the creatures began forming an even tighter circle around her, Alex let her body be shaken by her quiet sobs. She closed her eyes, and let them have her way with her.

She accepted her fate.

Death was calling and she welcomed it with open arms.
