A few seconds passed and Alex waited for the pain that would come, so death could take her away. She listened and heard no gun shot. She didn't feel the cold stab of a syringe or knife. Silver didn't burn her skin.
Alex didn't see the white light that she was supposed to follow. All she saw was black. All she heard was the crickets around her. She was too scared to do anything but keep her eyes closed and cry.
"Open your eyes." A voice commanded. Alex didn't want to, however she had no control of her body. She tried hard to force her eyes closed but they flew open without hesitation.
"Good. Now sit up and get your eyes to stop leaking." Another voice commanded and Alex did their bidding unwillingly. She found herself doing everything that the voices commanded her, whether she wanted to or not. Her body had a mind of its own.
Alex surveyed her surroundings carefully, weary of the presence of the four creatures. They sat around her in a tight circle, observing her, scrutinizing her. "What do you want?" Alex asked, her voice was hoarse from all the screaming she had done, and so she cleared her throat before continuing. "If you are going to kill me just do it. Save me the suspense."
The creatures chuckled darkly at her outburst, and she flinched at the sound of their roar like laughs. "We are not here to kill you child." The one she recognized as the voice in her head said.
Relief flooded her being, like the calm before a storm, and she fired questions at them uncontrollably."Why are you here? What are you? Why did you tell me to come outside? Why don't I have control of my body anymore? What is up with-."
"Silence!" One of the beasts roared at her. Alex quickly shut her mouth, afraid of what might happen to her if she disobeyed. Truth was Alex had a bad habit of asking questions when she was scared, and at the moment she was terrified, for lack of a better word.
"Trevor, don't forget why we are here. Don't scare her any further than we already have. If she doesn't comply then you can scare her."
Alex's heart pounded at the beast's words. Comply with what? Before she had a chance to ask herself anymore questions the mind invading creature spoke up again.
"I am Klein. This is Freddy." He explained pointing to the creature on his right. "This is Dean," he continued pointing to the one behind her. "And you already know this is Trevor." He finished pointing to the one on his left.
"We are demons, we have come to make a deal with you. You were asked to come outside, because we could not risk Stacy seeing us, and you don't have control over your body anymore because we put a spell on you. We were well aware that you wouldn't comply with us unless we charmed you." Klein explained to Alex.
The girl just sat there in a daze. She knew their scent was off the moment they appeared before her. They didn't smell human, they didn't smell like any type of were or vampire, so they had to be telling the truth.
"We saw what you did today." Dean smirked.
Dread washed over Alex. Oh no, she thought, they were here to pay her back for what she did to the man. Why did she have to feel so happy killing.
"We loved it!" Freddy exclaimed loudly. "It was so awesome. You didn't even flinch. Kid you got what it takes to be one of us."
"One of you?" Alex questioned, her eyes going wide.
"Yeah, you won't look like us though. What a shame, your an ugly little thing." Trevor said, turning up his nose at Alex. At his words she let out a unlady like snort.
"What do you mean?" Alex asked turning her attention back to klein. She was genuinely confused. How could she be one of them, she was a were and they were demons.
"Look long story short, sell your soul to us, we take your wolf and give you another soul. You will be a little devil, and you'll be better at killing." Trevor yawned.
Alex gawked at him, shocked. Her, a little devil. What kind of sick person did they take her for. She loved having a wolf, she loved Miley even if they hadn't talked since she started going out with Stacy.
"No I won't do it." Alex decided, at once.
" Wait before you make your decision listen to what we have to say." Freddy pleaded. "You'll still have all the abilities that you have now. The only difference is that you won't have a wolf, and you won't be able to shift."
"You'll even get new abilities." Dean added. "You will be able to teleport and levitate."
"No!" Alex shrieked and scrambled to her feet. She finally had control over her body again, and she sure as hell wasn't going to sit here and listen to what they had to say.
She quickly turned to walk away but Klein's next words stopped her in her tracks. When the words flew out of his mouth, she turned around abruptly.
"You won't have a wolf, and that means you won't have a mate either. You can be with Stacy for the rest of your life, no one will come between you two."
"Are you serious?" Alex squeaked, she could hardly find her voice. This was the thing she and Stacy had been worrying about for years now, and now she had a solution to the problem. She thought about the pro's and con's for a minute.
If she said yes, she could be with Stacy forever without anybody coming between them. She would have new abilities added to what she had now, and she would have another soul. She would be able to kill better
If she said no, when she found her mate, she didn't know what would happen to her and Stacy's relationship. She would not have any new abilities and her killing skills would not be enhanced.
Her choice was made, she knew what she had to do for her. For Stacy. The decision was clear.
"Yes!" She cried into the night air. "I'm going to do it. I'm doing it. I sell you my soul. Make me a little devil."
"I sell my soul to you."
