"Can she even do anything but pass out? That ninja might attack us again! She's barely even older than the rest!I bet they can even do better than she can!" Tazuna freaked out dramatically, just as they had left the house with only Aki and Kakashi guarding him. The rest of the team needed to rest up their chakra from their exhausting fight against Zabuza yesterday and their training afterwards.
Aki yawned, tucking her hands in her pocket without giving a single care. "Judging a book by its cover. By your way of judgement, I'll say you can't even lift me up."
He glared at Aki furiously before attempting to lift her up. 'She seems light enough. I can definitely carry her, I've carried heavier and larger things.' The thought naturally surfaced in his mind. Confidence surged through his entire being.
Just as his hand reached out to lift her up, she sent her legs at him one after the other, kicking him. He would've been able to lift her up without breaking a sweat, but that was how she wanted to show him that he's underestimating her. She wanted to show him that he couldn't lift her up because he couldn't even lay his hands on her.
"I thought you said I was no better than the rest? Could they have done that? I wonder." She said, narrowing her ocean blue eyes at Tazuna who was lying on the ground not badly hurt but dazed instead. Tazuna stared into her eyes, there he found much emotions, much wisdom though it vanished in a matter of second.
Aki stalked off as Kakashi reached his hand out to assist Tazuna in standing up before they continued after the blond.
"Why was Zabuza after you?" Aki raised a question to the bridge builder immediately after he completed instructing his workers.
"Gato hired him. Gato took over the land of waves. Ever since then, the country has been poor. Building this bridge will allow traders to come and will bring money to the country and Gato doesn't want that. I'm the builder so that's why he's after me." Tazuna explained while helping out the workers at the same time. Aki sat at the side of the bridge with her legs crossed, warily observing the surroundings.
She didn't speak, it was as if she was waiting for someone. Kakashi had left to gather some supplies Tazuna needed, leaving her as the only ninja around.
"That little girl, she's the only one." Someone mumbled to the other. They were really soft. It impossible to hear them, not over the loud noises and yelling happening during the bridge building.
Aki stood up, glancing up at the sky before the two men appeared in the middle of the bridge. Unexpectedly a flash of blue flew across their eyes. All attention immediately turned to the two men. In front if them stood Aki who had moved from her previous position in less than seconds.
"Go get your sensei or something! You can't handle them on your own, you're outnumbered!" Tazuna yelled in worry and stress. The workers turned to look at their employer, confusion and fear present in their eyes. They didn't have a single clue on the situation, all they knew was that their lives were in imminent danger.
"Call my sensei?" Aki laughed aloud sarcastically. They looked at her, thinking she was insane."You get to choose, to die while I go get Kakashi or let me do it. Come on now."
Tazuna stared at her wide eyed. His voice shuttered. "A-Alright do w-whatever you w-want!"
"I thought so." Aki smirked, looking back at the two men. The thugs didn't hesitate, rushing at her with their weapons, ready to kill. All Tazuna could see was the movement of the girl's blond hair as the assailants' weapons sliced through the air. With swift precision, Aki delivered two forceful kicks to their heads, making them pass out.
She took out her scroll, holding onto an end. It was the same scroll she used before. She formed hand signs, sealing the two men inside the scroll. She clenched the scroll in her hand before letting out a small sigh.
