Chapter 6

''Yeasung!'' Jongdae ran to the girl who was walking barefoot to the park. She turned around to see Jongdae running after her. She panicked and ran to the park.

It was night and the street lamps weren't enough to light Yeasung's way so she tripped over a rock and fell on her face. She sighed and sat upright and brushed her shoulders.

''I'm sorry.''

''You like betraying me then coming back, huh?'' She laughed and grabbed Jongdae's wrist. He helped her up and saw that her arm has goosebumps.

''Will you forgive me?'' He asked but Yeasung ignored him by completely ignoring him from top to bottom. She walked away as if he wasn't there.

''Yeasung! I'll try to remember now! Promise! I know you're not a fraud.'' He was about to take out the ommi book but remembered that he shouldn't show it to her so instead, he just prayed.

''Can you buy me slippers?'' She asked, keeping her head down.

''What even happened? I thought you were suppose to save Himawari? Or my 'grave'? Or-'' She placed her small hand over his mouth and stole his jacket. She wore it and walked away.

''I'll walk you home.''

''Idiot! You ruined the mood, I hate you!'' He laughed and walked beside the small girl.

There was this feeling inside Jongdae after reading the book. The feeling told him to apologize to her. There was something inside him that made him think that he has to remember. Like it's required if not, he'll regret it.

''You okay? I'm sorry for this morning. I should've thought about your feelings.''

''No, it's my fault but it's also yours so we're even'' He smiled and rubbed his hands. He blew his hot breathe into it and placed it on her cheeks.

''Why are you being so nice now? What happened in school? Were you bullied to be nice to me?'' Jongdae laughed and shook his head.

It's the book. I'll follow the book. My curiosity is leading me. I want to know why my head hurts when I remember something. Why I want to protect you but in the same time, I don't believe you. Why I have to stay beside you all the time. And most importantly, why did I forget?

"Jongdae. If you don't want to remember, I won't force you." She interrupted him by poking his cheek and smiling sweetly at him.

"But I'll regret it."

"Whatever you say. Night~" He didn't even notice that they were in front of her apartment building. He watched her enter the doors and disappear once the doors slowly close.

I'm definitely not okay. I keep changing answers, it's annoying! He slapped his own hand and went home but before that, he went to a 24 hour coffee shop and to his surprise, he saw Cheol sitting down with his history teacher. He flinched and ignored the two old people and ordered his drink.

While lining up, he heard his name being called and he prayed that they would leave him alone but no. Cheol walked up to him and got his attention. Jongdae put up a fake smile to the old man.

''I heard you got the ommi book by Jongdae.'' He nodded and glanced at the line. There were 2 people in front of him so he might take a while.

''By the way, don't go to Himawari. It'll trigger everything.'' He patted Jongdae's back and went back to his table.

Crazy old man, I'll do whatever I can to remember.

''Sir! It's your turn, sir!''

''Sorry!'' He apologized to the cashier and ordered his drink.
