Chapter 14: I want to trust you

Song Ji Hyo's POV

I can't breath. I'm seriously so nervous. "Yah Ji hyo, can you really do this?" The voice inside my head questioned.

The phone on the other end continued to ring. Come on please answer, please answer it. After a few more rings, finally he answered it. I tasted relief.

"Oppa.." I breathed out.

"Ji hyo, what are you up to?"

"Oppa, I'm outside. Can you come out? I need to talk to you."

"Arasso, I'll be right there." He said and then ended the call immediately.

I held my phone tightly as I waited for him.

A while ago, I excused myself to go to the restroom but what I actually wanted was to talk to Gary. Everyone was done eating dinner, now they were starting to drink and were chatting.

"Ji hyo-ah" Gary called out silently.

"Oppa" I said as gestured him to come to where I was hiding.

He ran quickly to where I am and grabbed my arm for support.

"Ji hyo-ah, what are you thinking? I'm so confused right now. You have to tell me what's your plan." He said as he while trying to catch his breath.

"Oppa, are you alright?"

We weren't able to talk alone since we left the set. We came separately with our cars, still keeping up with the 'we were just friends' act.

If you're wondering why I was doing this tonight, why have I invited everyone to dinner and why I haven't told Gary oppa what my plan was?

I have one simple answer to that.

Nothing. I just acted with what I felt.

Correct! Tonight I used my heart and not my brain. Genius right?

I stared blankly at the ground. What am I really up to?

"Ji hyo-ah are you okay?" Gary asked softly as he held my hand and I turned to look at it.

That's right, because he is here, I'll be fine. Why did I do this? It's because of Gary oppa.

"Ji hyo are we going to tell them about us tonight?" He asked.

I didn't move. I just continued to stare at our hands tangled together.

You can do this right Ji hyo? Everything will be alright, they are like your family so no worries.

I squeezed Gary's hand a little and then raised my head, now having a smile to show on my face.

"Nae oppa, we're going to tell them tonight." I answered him firmly.

Gary's eyes brightened but then suddenly he said,

"Ji hyo-ah I'm so nervous I don't think I can do this tonight." He touched his chest his free hand but he was showing a smile on his face.

"Yah oppa, toughen up. It will be alright." I said as I lightly pushed his shoulder.

He started to laugh. "I'm sorry, it's just that I didn't expect that you'd do it tonight."

"Well, I didn't planned this or anything, I just felt that tonight would be a great opportunity."

"Wow Ji hyo, you really fear nothing."

I giggled. If only he knew how nervous I am at the moment too.

"But Ji hyo are you really sure about this? You can still back down if want to."
