It has officially been a week after Vernon Boyd's death. It did take a toll on the pack. He wasn't just Cora's friend he was Isaac's friend too. So when Isaac acme knocking on Layla's door three weeks ago. She didn't expect it to turn out. . .awkwardly.

Layla opens her bedroom door after the knocking. She smiles when she sees Isaac at her door. But it immediately falters when she sees his teary eyes and drenched clothes which could only mean one of two things. He either went to the grave yard where Boyd's body was buried or he went to the place they first came friends. The train station.
She immediately pulls him into her arms not caring if her tank top would get wet from his clothes. He cries on her shoulder and all she could do was hold him tight against her. She pulls away and cups his cheeks. “It's okay. Come on.” She pulls the door close and pulls his towards her bed.
“Layla, can I--can I maybe just stay here for a while. I don't want to go back to Scott's house,” Isaac says. Layla nods her head sitting beside him. “Yeah, yeah. Of course,” she mumbles. Isaac looks over towards her. “I'm sorry about showing up here looking like. . .this.”
Layla sits down beside him. “It's okay,” she mumbles wiping off his cheeks. “I know you just need a friend to talk to. I'm always here for you no matter what,” she mumbles. Isaac looks at her with adoration in his eyes. He realized that he might have feelings for the strawberry blonde.
He leans over and immediately connects their lips. Layla's eyes widen when his lips moves against hers. She wanted to pull away but she knew it would just hurt him, so she just tried to enjoy it for his sake, even though the lips wasn't the lips of the person she loved.

hat night after the kiss Isaac apologized and Layla brushed it off like it's nothing but it definitely was something. That night they acted like friend when deep down it was awkward for both of them.
Later that week Allison told her about her grandfather who wanted to see Scott and Adam but she decided to just follow to hear what he had to say. He told them about the story of the alphas. It was weird how not once did his heart jump while he was telling the story. Scott told her that he was telling the truth or he was a damn good liar.
Layla went with the latter because she oath to never trust that man again. She did actually get Intel from Stiles about the story Peter told him and Cora about Derek, who fell in love and who lost his first love. It actually touched Layla's heart and she finally understood why he was like that.
