Layla's eyes open just before she jerks up out of the water that's now suddenly warm. She looks around to see she's in front of a house. She frowns before standing up, climbing out of the tub. She looks around to see it was the only house that was painting white among all the other houses. She was alone. She didn't have anyone with her. If something happened to her would she really did?
She sighs and slowly starts walking up towards the house. It looked familiar. It almost look like their house. The house they first lived in when she and Lydia was just four years old.She walks up the steps trailing the water with her. She was wet all over.
She stops in front of the door.
She pushes it open slowly letting sudden warmth enable around her. She gasps when she sees the inside of the house. It was the same as their old house.“Layla! Lydia!”
Layla looks to the side to see her mother standing there with a plate in hand and a swollen belly. Her mother was pregnant? How come she never knew?
Tiny footsteps comes down the stairs. Layla sees her and Lydia racing down the steps. “Yes mommy?”“Go freshen up. Dinner will be ready soon. Your father has a surprise for you both,” she says. The twins smiles and runs back. Layla walks further into the house and she sees all the pictures of her family.
The door to the basement opens and an older woman walks in holiday some sheets in her hand. “Lorraine? Are you hungry yet?” Natalie asks the woman. Layla watch as Lorraine puts the sheets on the table. “Yes. Where are the girls?”
“We're here grandma,” the twins says simultaneously. Layla watches as they run into the dining room with their grandma in tow. Layla could remember how amazing that woman was. She would always spoil the two to them.
Layla follows them into the dining room to see her father who looked younger sitting there. “There's my girls,” he says hugging the twins. “Daddy, where's our presents?” young Lydia asks the man. “Don't I get a kiss first?” he asks them. Both girls leans up and kisses him on both cheeks.
“You'll get it later tonight,” he says. Layla smiles looking at the happy family. Why didn't she remember this?
Everything suddenly turns black around her before an image comes through. She turns to see herself in a room where little Lydia and Layla was lying. She frowns wondering what she was doing here.
She suddenly hears coughing and she turns to see herself there. She was coughing continuously. She watch as Lydia runs to the side switching on the light. She gasps when she sees the blood at the side of her little bed. “Mommy! Daddy!” Lydia yells out crying as she looks at her sister.
Layla watch as she leans over and blood comes through her mouth. The door bursts open and her mom and Dad runs in. “What's wrong—Layla!” They both stop beside her bed. “What happened?” her dad asks her. Lorraine appears at the door and she gasps when she sees the blood.
“Pick her up. We're taking her to Deaton,” Lorraine says. Natalie grabs a towel and blanket throwing it to her husband letting him wrap it around their daughter.
He runs out of the room with Lydia following them.Everything goes black again before a light comes through and she finds herself in the animal clinic again.
She looks around at how different the room looks. She turns around and her gaze falls on her family who are now looking at her little self.
“What's wrong with her?” Natalie asks him. Layla watches as he looks at her.
