Everypony avoided Star, thinking that she was crazy. Living in the Everfree Forest? Knowing Princess Luna well? Star sat alone at recess that day. Diamond Tiara snickered while looking at her. "Blank Flank!" Silver Spoon laughed.
"She doesn't even need that name, she's crazy enough on her own!" Diamond Tiara teased. Star looked away from them. While playing with Applebloom and Sweetie Belle, Scootaloo saw what was going on. Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon sat next to Star, one on each side of her. "Do you really know Luna?" Silver Spoon asked.
"Of course not! She was lying to get attention! And the Everfree Forest? Please!" Diamond Tiara laughed. Star grew angrier at this. She knew not to show it, or her friends would come to help her, giving her away. Scootaloo ran over to Star, "Hey, don't be mean to Star!"
"What are you gonna do?" Silver Spoon asked. Star stood up. Her horn started glowing. She pointed it at the bullies and fired. A dark beam of magic blasted in between the bullies. They got out of the way fast enough. "Go." Star said angrily. The bullies ran away quickly. Scootaloo looked at Star in awe. "How did you do that?" Scootaloo asked.
"My friends taught me." Star said.
"What's it like in the Everfree Forest?" Scootaloo asked.
"You believe me?" Star asked.
"Of course!"
"It's scary sometimes, but my friends won't let anything happen to me. Luna visits me sometimes and tells me about how Equestria is amazing and that I should explore the rest of it. I agreed and she signed me up to go to school here in Ponyville."
"Do you wanna meet my friends?"
"They are nice too, right?"
"They're the best friends I have!"
"I would like to meet them." Star followed Scootaloo to her friends, "Ok, these are Applebloom and Sweetie Belle."
"Nice to meet ya!" Applebloom said.
"Hi!" Sweetie Belle said happily. Star smiled. These fillies could do no harm. "After school, we should show you around Ponyville!" Sweetie Belle said. Star looked nervous. "Don't be shy!" Scootaloo said, "Nopony around here will hurt you."
