I'm back! Back again!
I got home from Switzerland at 3 am and basically passed out.... that's always good.
So! The drive to Switzerland was 8 hours on a bus, and I got about 30 minutes of sleep, because I had the aisle seat, and had nowhere to rest my head. That was bad, because after getting only 30 minutes of sleep, I had to walk around all day! During the 45 minute break for food, when we were halfway there, I got a wiener in a bun, and the wiener was rock solid, along with the bun. So, I had a small breakfast you could say, consisting of 3 bites of wiener, and one of my mom's extra rolls.
Anyway, when we got there, we got off the bus, and got on a train. It was a 45 minute drive to see scenery of Switzerland (which was really pretty, with lakes, mountains, castles, and pretty villages), and to get to another bus. They served us coffee and hot chocolate, along with weird bread things with Nutella in them and hazelnut on the top. My dad had to use the bathroom on the train, and when he got back, he said that the toilet was just a hole in the floor of the train, and that he could see the ground moving below it. This meant that when you used toilet paper, you littered!!! ...yeah.
When we got to the bus, it was a double decker!, and it was a 25 minute drive to the cheese factory, where we learned about how they made cheese in Switzerland, and about Switzerland's special cheese, made only there, which I don't remember the name of because it was in French. It is used in most fondues! We got to sample it, and the cheese was really good!
After that, we got on the bus for another 15 minutes, and drove to a little village. It was very beautiful, and had winding stone roads, small cafes, and a castle. First, we ate fondue for lunch at a little cafe, which was great, and then we got to tour the castle! It was huge and had tapestries and very old painting/murals! After that, we had a little bit of time left before we had to go to the bus, so we got souvenirs and ICE CREAM!!! It was chocolate and vanilla mixed, and it was wonderful!!!
After that, we got on the bus again for a ten minute drive to a chocolate factory! I slept the entire ten minutes.... When we got there, we took a strange tour of how chocolate was made, and I'm telling you, it was REALLY strange. There were magically opening and closing doors, and animatronics. At the end, we got to see chocolate being formed and put into its rappers by a machine, which was cool looking! Then, we got to sample a bunch of chocolates, which my family was ecstatic about, but I wasn't. I only got to try one chocolate out of around 15, because I don't like nuts, and because I can't have Carmel with my braces. They all looked so good too, except for the white and dark chocolates. I only like milk chocolate as well. As you can see... read... I am very picky about my chocolate. When my family was done eating everything, we then got drinks and a hot chocolate crepe, which I ate in one gulp!!! It was sooo good! We were able to lay in the shade, because we had extra time, so we fed little birds. My sister named one Nathaniel. He was very cute.
After that, we got on the bus for another 10 minutes to get back to the train, in which I passed out again the entire time. When we got on the train, it was another 45 minute drive back. I slept the entire time on the train as well. I was really tired, ok!
When we got back to the bus meeting area for when we leave, we still had 2 hours to eat dinner before we got back on the original bus, and started to head home. Naturally, my dad made us walk around for 45 minutes, passed some restaurants, and when we had gotten really far away, he decided to turn around, and walk back to the original restaurants. It was exhausting. I had a Swiss burger with alp cheese, or something like that. Yum.
When we were done eating, we walked to a shaded area, and got to lay on big beach chairs, next to a gigantic and beautiful lake, with ducks, herons, and swans swimming in it! Soon though, we had to get on the bus and drive home. I got the window seat this time, so I was able to sleep the entire bus ride! For the first four hours, I dreamed about being on the bus, which was normal since I was on a bus. After the 45 minute break, I dreamed about X-men mixed with ESP..... I don't know what was happening. When we got close to our building where we were supposed to get off, I was so tired, that when my sister tried to wake me up, she had to poke me, tap me, shake my entire body, and tap me again, before I decided to get up. She thought I was dead or something, but I just didn't want to get up.
After we got off the bus, we had the 45 minute drive home, where I stayed awake, because everyone was talking! When we got home, I grabbed all of my stuff, and ran upstairs to sleep. It was great.
Now, it is morning after I just woke up, and I am writing this. You're welcome! 😊🚂🚌🧀🍫🍦Bye, peops!!
