Normal's POV

As soon as Asano reaches the hospital, Hime was brought into the emergency room before they transfer her to another bed and brought her to the operation theatre. The laceration is deep and although it doesn't pierce any important organs, it did make contact with some major blood vessels that supply the organs. Asano waited patiently outside the room as he prays to the Gods to save Hime. He was willing to do – give anything if it meant Hime could be saved.

His phone rang a couple of times while he was waiting for the operation and apparently Sakakibara Ren was calling him. Ren had every right to be worried for his friend. After beating up Karma, Asano just ran away and it scared him. He has never seen Asano in a manic state before and they were close enough for Ren to proudly announce that they're best friends. Ren covered the whole school's perimeter, even went as far as the satellite campus to look for Asano but to no avail. So, after school ends, he couldn't help but call just to be sure the strawberry blonde boy hasn't done anything impulsive and naïve like suicide.

So when Asano finally picked up Ren's call, he was beyond relieved. But Ren knew it was too foolish of him to be relieved so soon even before knowing why he ran away in a such a hurry in the first place. However, Asano doesn't make it easier for him. When Asano told Ren that he was at his mother's hospital, Ren quickly gathered the rest of the members of the Virtuosos and went to the said location without knowing why their president was there in the first place.

When they arrive, Asano told them that he found Hime in a ditch and she was alive and almost immediately, they cried out of worry, relieved and of course, happiness.

Never in a million years Ren would have allowed himself to hope but he has got a reason now and he's hoping his friend would make it through alive.

The boys' joy, however is ephemeral. Asano stayed quiet after whispering that Hime has lost a lot of blood as he buries his face in his palms. Seeing how dejected their friend is made them go back to the state of worry again.

A boy with dark brown hair and almond shaped eyes stare at the LCD TV on the painted walls of the waiting area. There are only 2 operations going on and he couldn't help but reread the same line again and again. Tomoya Seo takes a deep breath as he reads the last line for the last time before he distracts himself.

Tomoya twirls his wrist watch as his forehead knits together in worry. She has been in there for almost 3 hours. Tomoya thought and just when he thought he's the only one who noticed the time, shaggy haired Natsuhiko Koyama shares the same look as he. The look they shared comforted each other as Tomoya excused himself to walk around while Natsuhiko continued studying his flashcards.

Ren sits down next to Asano who is nervously shaking his leg on the ground as his wild eyes roam across the waiting area, trying to convince himself that Hime is fine before his eyes stops at the LCD screen and back to the emergency room. He stands up almost immediately when doctors and nurses alike walk in and out of the restricted area despite knowing he should wait for only one doctor to come out.

"Do you guys want any refreshments?" Teppei Araki asks, standing up from the metallic bench as he looks at his friends. Whilst his other friends gave him a list of beverages and snacks, Asano paid no heed as he has his vermillion eyes fixated on the closed door of the emergency room. The light above the closed sliding door is still flashing red – like it has been – the past 3 hours.
