Evie spent the whole car ride back home thinking about Theo’s parting words.

Just so you know that wasn’t the last time I plan on kissing you…

She almost walked into the back door her mind was so preoccupied trying to decipher what exactly he had meant.

Did that mean he actually liked her? Was that even possible?

There was no way she was going to figure this out without directly asking him so she decided to make herself some dinner and wait in the kitchen for him. Taking off her wig she put it on the counter so it wouldn’t get ruined while she cooked.

After her third attempt at making eggs she quit, her mind was obviously elsewhere and she couldn’t do anything but burn food. It was taking him longer than she thought to say hi to his fans. Deciding on some crackers from their giant pantry she settled down onto her usual stool to eat when she heard the back door open.

She automatically sat a little straighter in her seat and her heart started to pound in her chest, until she saw Noah walk through the door.

“Hey Evie long time no see!” he greeted her, dropping his bags of groceries and coming over to hug her.

He was the last person she wanted to see right now. She hadn’t confronted him about the party yet and now wasn’t exactly the best time.

“Hey Noah.” She replied giving him a quick hug hoping he would back off after that.

Of course with her luck he only backed off a couple feet, still within hugging distance should the need to hug her arise again.

God she hoped not.

“So I was thinking that we could go on that date I promised you. Does tomorrow night sound okay?”

It would seem she was going to have to confront him about Vanessa and the party sooner rather than later.

“I’d rather not. I think it’s better if we just stayed…” Evie tried to search for the right word, friend just didn’t seem appropriate after he had grabbed and taunted her at the party, “acquaintances?”

“Acquaintances? But I thought we were getting along really well.”  He reached his hand out to brush against her arm causing her to shiver in distaste, which only seemed to encourage him.

“Yeah we were, it’s just I don’t like to date people who lie to me.”

“I haven’t lied to you about anything Evie. I bet I know how I can change your mind.” He gave her a mischievous smile that made her wish she wasn’t stuck in this chair.

“I don’t think you can-” Evie started to tell him before his lips completely cut her off.

Evie tried to push him off of her; this kiss was definitely not changing her mind but he wouldn’t budge.

Theo couldn’t wait to get back and see Evie. He had finally made progress today and having her with him on the set was the most fun he’d had in a while.

He had loved seeing her smile after they jumped off the building, glad that she had enjoyed herself. Most girls wouldn’t have been able to do that but Evie had worked up the courage and had fun in the process.

You would think jumping off the building would have been the most exciting event for him that day, but nothing could top his kiss with Evie.

Wherever Jenna was he owed her a big thank you for bailing on the scene. She was a great girl but he would pick Evie over her any day.

He made sure to tell the driver to break some speed limits so he could get back sooner. He was a little worried about her after the jump when her mood seemed to completely change.  Luckily he could think of a few ways to make her feel better ….

Still smiling to himself they arrived at his house and he jumped out before the car had even fully stopped.  Jogging up to the back door he had no idea what he was going to say to her but he knew that he had to talk to her and see her smile again.

Walking through the back door he arrived in the kitchen where his whole world seemed to come crashing down around him as he stared at Noah and Evie in an unscripted and completely real kiss.

Evie finally managed to push Noah away, but the damage was already done.

She saw Theo standing by the kitchen entrance looking like his favorite dog had just died.

“It’s not what it looks like.” She tried to convince him hopping up out of her seat, but Noah was being counterproductive.

“It’s exactly what it looks like Rogan.” He smiled, grabbing her around the waist as she tried to go to Theo.

It was like torture for Evie watching Theo’s beautiful blue eyes turn stone cold.

He stood there for a few seconds more just staring at them as she tried to get free of Noah’s grip. When he seemed to finally have enough he turned on his heel and walked out leaving her and Noah alone once more.

Only then did Noah let go of her and she immediately turned around and punched him in the face.

“What the hell was that?” he shouted, putting a hand over his face.

It was like all her pent up anger about Hunt and Noah came bubbling to the surface after he stupidly restrained her. “You are possible one of the biggest assholes I have ever met! You don’t kiss a girl against her will and then restrain her! And you sure as hell don’t cancel on a date so you can go party with another girl!”

“How do you know about that?” He demanded, not even bothering to deny it.

“I was there stupid. I was with Theo and let me tell you I wouldn’t go on a date with you if you were the last guy on the planet!” she shoved him backwards as she finished hoping he would leave.

“Fine by me! I only wanted you anyway because Theo liked you. I have no idea what he sees in you.”  She had no idea either but she wasn’t about to agree with him.

“Please get out.” She demanded, pointing towards the door.

Shooting daggers at her with his eyes he gathered up his keys that had fallen on the floor when she punched him and moved to leave.

“My pleasure.”

Evie couldn’t relax until she saw him walk out the door and out of her life at least for the time being.

What was she going to do now?
