Extra: The One

"When did you plan all this?" I motioned my hands around still clutching to my huge ass lily bouquet.

My boyfriend smiled sheepishly.

"I might have started thinking about it when  I saw you got so frantic planning our anniversary trip."

I rolled my eyes. That was pretty much more than a couple of months ago.

And all the while I thought I was the only one obsessed with our anniversary. I chuckled at the thought.

"All these time I was mopping about not getting to celebrate our anniversary together and you give me this? You're mean Earn!"

He was laughing as he led me to the table beside  the makeshift stage. I didn't notice it earlier. He then took the bouquet from me and deposited it on the chair next to us.

"I love you too much that I have to endure acting." I smiled with his statement.

"I love you too. But wait, what about the seminar?"

We were already sitting with the mango shake and the chocolate mouse cake in front of us. I smiled. It brought back so many memories. But I still have some score to settle with my boyfriend so I left it at that.

"It was staged. I got Phun to do it with me."

I knew it!

"What about the tracking thing, did he tell you about it that's why you turned your phone off?"

Earn let out a mischievous smile.

"I was the one he was texting, not Fi!"

I rolled my eyes. I can't believe Earn schemed everything. Reminded me to not test his patience ever.

"But where were you all these time? I slept at your dorm last night after you left."

Earn refused to let me come with him to the train station saying, he'll find it hard to leave if I was there. I got persuaded, also because we had an extreme fvck the night before that my ass was sore and I refused to leave the bed.

"I stayed at Master Phun's mansion."

"How about this place?"

Earn was already muching his favorite cake.

"I had Noh and Jebs prepare everything."

"What did you say? Jebs and Noh? Decorating? Are you kidding me?!?"

That would really be out of this world.

"They might have abused their authority a little as both  former club president and as the club vice president for this."

So that was why both the cheer club and the music club office were deserted. Urgh! Wasn't my boyfriend just the best?

I pouted. "Now, you just put my anniversary trip plan to shame. How could I top this?"

Earn smiled.

"Just continue loving me. It would suffice."

I made a face.

"I don't like you too cheesy!" I snapped before taking in my mango shake.

"All these grandeur and we only get to have shakes and cake?" I teased.

He laughed. "These were actually on the house. Which was a good thing because that LED and this place cost me almost a semester's worth of tuition fee."

I was incredulous. "That expensive!?!"

"Hmm" Earn deadpanned and continued munching on his cake.

"But you're worth it." He continued as if it was the most natural thing to say while I on the other hand was starting with the water works again.

"Hey, what's the matter? Did I say something wrong!?! Earn was beside me in an instant.

I hugged him tight. "Earn, thank you for this. For everything."

Earn hugged me back. We stayed in that position for a while with nothing but our heartbeats in sync on the background. After sometime, Earn held me.

"Pete?"

"Hmm?"

"I love you."

I smiled.

I broke out of our embrace and looked at him.  He looked at me back. We kissed. It was chaste but at the same time intense.
It was a depiction of how I felt at the moment. And I had never felt so at ease.

"I love you too."

One year.

As Earn said, it wasn't a perfect year. But it was the best. And just like Earn, I wouldn't have it any other way or with any other person for that matter.

We would have two

Three

Four

Five

and a hundred years, metaphorically speaking, who knew?

What I  knew was this:

I would not have wanted to celebrate it with any other person. Every year from here on, I would only want it with Earn. My dream. My love. My bestfriend.

The only person who made me take the risk and not regret it.

The one.

Told you there will be extra chapters! 😁
So, one year anniversary down, yay! I was planning on a marriage proposal but I thought they were still too young for that. I was also reeling on couple rings but  I've already read it somewhere and I don't want to feel like I copied so I went with the song number  with one of my fave songs. So there's that.💙
Thank you for staying up until now, let's see about their first time, I might just give it to you. Who knows? 😅
