Newt was starting to come too when he heard a growl, a deep threatening growl from the depth of an angry beast. Not that Newt would call this animal a beast at all. He was just hungry. As Newt very cautiously opened his eyes and sat up he was met with a beautiful sight. A grown alpha wolf was standing twenty or so feet away from him with a pitch black pelt of endless night time fur. Newt had to move very carefully or he'd disturb the creature and that's the last thing he wanted to do to this beautiful beast. With careful and slow movements he managed to crack his case open ever so much so for him to squeeze his hand inside and as if knowing Dougal reached up with a raw piece of meat. Newt wasted no time in throwing it to the wolf giving him a big smile. He decided to name the wolf 'Shadow' because he didn't seem to ever go away. Unlike shadows actually do. As the wolf, wolfed down on the meat Newt drew out his notebook carefully sketching the wolf's form on the paper, biting his lip.

The next time Newt looked up from his sketch the wolf was barely four feet away from him. Stretching his neck out as far as it would go to give the stranger a sniff. Newt kept as still as possible not wanting to alarm the other creature. He was almost done with the picture. Just a few more strokes aaaaannnnd-he'd done it! Looking down at the piece of paper filled him with joy.

It may have looked a little messy but to Newt it was perfect! He had to remind himself not to move or yell to celebrate how beautiful this moment was to him

It may have looked a little messy but to Newt it was perfect! He had to remind himself not to move or yell to celebrate how beautiful this moment was to him. The wolf though did back off a few steps seeming to sense Newt's excitement. He quickly drew his scent and magic back inside of himself not wanting to alarm the wolf and send the wrong message to him. Of course the good moment couldn't last for forever and he quickly snapped his head up when he heard a branch snap. This was the whole reason he had bolted from the hospital in the first place! To get away from everybody.

He had even gone to the curtesy of going the long way around to avoid everyone following him, 'If anybody was following me they would've since long lost my scent trail and me myself..' Newt silently thought to himself closing his eyes as he heard another growl. He silently smiled to himself, opening his eyes back up again. This time it was a tawny brown and red furred female wolf, though she didn't seem at all as amused as the alpha did as she gave Newt a look that he would define as the look every wizard that didn't know him did; one of contempt, with one eye seeming to be quirked up she seemed to study Newt with a distaste that he himself flinched back at. 'Maybe I should leave them in peace... for however long that peace will last that is..' he forced back a miserable sigh, holding the spot on his neck that had been brutally marked. He could feel the dull ache and the nagging at the back of his skull to be with his mated pair.

Biting the inside of his cheek Newt rose, both hands out in front of him in the universal sign of 'I mean no harm' as he climbed very clumsily up. Hissing more to himself-quickly stopping when he heard the female wolf growl again-(come on people! Their vocal chords sounded nothing alike! He didn't need to look to see which wolf it was!)- And digging his heels into the lower side of the icy mountain he was on, he froze. Tensing his entire body up as he bent in an awkward position to keep himself steady on the icy exposure. He could hear the Male growling and from the corner of his eye watched as he nudged the She-Wolf away from Newt, himself. Silently thanking the alpha with a quick but slow nod in thanks he apparated to his temporary home.
