►prologue/blurb thingy

Zoe pressed play on her iPhone. Music filled her ears. Zoe loved music, it never left.

She was currently listening the 'W.D.Y.W.F.M" by The Neighbourhood.

Zoe had seen The Neighbourhood live just once, but it was one of the best nights of her life.

Zoe turned the music up louder, which was now playing 'Knee Socks' by the Arctic Monkeys, to drown out the surrounding sounds.

She was trying to sleep, but living on a college campus made sleeping hard. She couldn't wait until next year when she and Sydney had their own apartment on campus.

Zoe finally drifted off to sleep, after listening to countless songs.

Michael turned the volume knob of the stereo up louder. It was playing his favorite song, '99 Revolutions' by Green Day.

Michael was at a party with his best friend Luke, and he couldn't help but be annoyed with how drunk everyone was.

Michael never touched alcohol. He had had some pretty bad experiences with it before and never intended on drinking, at any point in his life.

Michael found Luke, a very drunk Luke might he add, and told him he was leaving. He weaved his way in and out of the drunk bodies filling the frat house he was in, and headed home.

As Michael rounded the corner that his and Luke's apartment was located on, he pulled out his phone.

Plugging his headphones in, he pressed shuffle. 'Dammit' by Blink-182 started to play. Michael loved music, it never left.
