"Shit!" I thought to myself as I climbed into my car and started driving.

"Shit, shit, shit!"

This has to be one of the worst nights I have ever had.

I pulled into the closest parking space to the store's entrance.

My night had been going great, I had been out with friends at a party and then it happened.

The worst thing that could possibly happen to me at a party.

Ok maybe I'm being dramatic, but getting my period at a party was not something that I had ever looked forward to.

Just when I had thought it couldn't get any worse, I discovered that I had conveniently forgotten to bring a tampon just in case "it" happened.

Then my oh so lovely friends happened to not have brought any feminine products either.

That explains why I have now driven to Target at twelve in the morning.

I quickly raced to the aisle with the sign over it that was labeled, "Shampoo, Soap, and Feminine Products"

I grabbed a box of tampons put it in my basket and walked hurriedly to the bathrooms, trying to get there before blood leaked through to my dress.

I got to the bathrooms in in under a minute, but a tall blonde boy was standing in front of the door in a target uniform.

I went forward to walk past him with my basket, but a hand came out to stop me.

"Sorry miss, no items that you have not purchased yet are allowed in the bathrooms."

I understood this guy was just trying to do his job, as his line was well delivered and probably rehearsed, but I really didn't want to have to tell him about my problem with "it."

"Can you please just this once let me in there with my basket?" I said patiently as I tried not to lose it.

The boy looked about my age, he had blue eyes and a lip piercing. His stupid red target shirt was on with a little plastic tag that said "Luke" on it.

He pulled in his stupid lip ring as he bit his lip and gave me the classic, up and down.

Suddenly he lost all formalities and I went from being called "miss" to "babe"

"Sorry, but I can't babe it's store policy."

I took a deep breath in, trying to stay calm.

I started bouncing up and down on the tips of my feet anxiously.

"Please just let me go in. It's an emergency," I said, trying to hold in my frustration.

"Princess, I can't let you in," he replied, pulling his lip ring into his mouth with his top teeth.

I wasn't as calm now, "I'm not going to steal anything!"

"How do I know that?" Luke smirked giving me the up and down yet again.

I could feel my period, "Just let me go in, it's not going to kill you!"

"Why do you need to go in with your basket so badly?" Luke said, obviously now getting as frustrated as me.

I let out a sigh and mumbled, "I'm on my- you know."

Luke stared at me, "I can't hear you babe."

"I'm on my period!" I half shouted, glaring at him.

He took a step back and coughed awkwardly, "Umm, I'm sorry... I- I didn't meant to-"

I ignored his stammering and pushed past him, walking into the bathrooms with my box of tampons.

--------------------------------------------------

When I got out of the bathroom I looked around but Luke was nowhere to be seen.

I silently thanked whoever was responsible for that.

I walked up to the cash register, pulling out my phone to glance at the time.

It was 12:30 in the morning.

I put the box of tampons down on the conveyor belt and looked up to see who the cashier was.

"You've got to be kidding me," I mumbled underneath my breath.

A loud voice rang over the intercom, "Please proceed to checkout the store will be closing in five minutes."

"I'm really sorry about before," Luke said looking flustered.

I ignored him.

"I didn't know-"

"It's fine." I said anxiously, watching people make their last minute purchases and leaving the store.

"No it's not, please let me make it up to you," he pleaded.

I rolled my eyes, "It's ok I really just want to leave."

I moved to grab my bag and leave but an arm prevented my escape from happening.

I looked up from his hand to his face slowly.

"Let go of me. I want to leave," I glared, tugging away from his grip.

Luke looked like a lost little puppy, "Please, let me make it up to you."

"No," I said shaking him off me and heading towards the door.

I grabbed onto the handle of the door and pulled.

Then I pulled again.

And again.

"It's locked," Luke told me.

Is he stupid?

"No shit it's locked," I retorted back.

Luke sighed, "I have a key."

"Well then what are you doing standing here?"

Luke walked off without responding to my previous statement.

I sank down to the floor and leaned against the wall.

After a couple of minutes Luke came back and sat down next to me.

We sat there for a bit before he finally spoke up,

"My keys are in my car."

"Oh," I responded quietly.

Luke apparently saw this as an opppurtunity to talk and said, "So what's your name?"

"Why do you need to know?"

"Well I like to know a little about a girl before I spend a night with her," Luke said winking at me.

I rolled my eyes, "You won't be spending the night with me."

"Whatever you say, princess," Luke laughed gently.

I can't deal with this right now. My friends are probably wondering where the hell I am and my phone just ran out of battery.

I didn't want to be around Luke when I was this emotionally unstable.

One minute I hated him and the next I would do anything to just cuddle up with him.

I know me on my period and me on my period is not fun to be around.

"My name's Emily," I stated as I looked down at the ground.

Luke turned so that he was now facing me and held out his hand,

"Nice to meet you Emily."

I shook his hand quickly, trying to avoid all human contact.

Luke stood up, "So do you want to go somewhere?"

He held out his hand to help me up.

I sighed, seeing as I had no other choice, "Fine. Lead the way."

I took his hand and he pulled me up effortlessly.

A.N. So yeah, I made this a thing, vote, read, comment, and all that shit.

This was obviously inspired by the target 5sos vid if you didn't get that yet.

I'll update this next when it has a hundred reads. So see you soon hopefully.
