So today we're going to the mall with everyone. I'm kinda nervous to tell them that we're moving in a week, but I have to sooner than later.

"You ready?" Mia came in my room.

"Yeah, you look cute" I smiled.

"Thanks bestie, you too."

"You ready to see fine ass Chris today?" I said biting my lip slightly.

I always liked Chris and he liked me too but it would never work out. We tried to date but then Mia would get jealous of us spending so much time together and we're both her best friends. So, we decided to strictly stay freinds for the sake of Mia's feelings, knowing damn well I didn't want to.

"Eww please do not ever say that again, I can't even look at him in that way" she mugged.

"Shit I can" I mumbled.

She shook her head and walked down the stairs. I grabbed my purse and phone off the charger and went downstairs.

"You guys be safe and no boys. I love you." My dad said from the kitchen.

We shook our heads, "Love you too dad."

We turned around to see loud ass Rodney coming down the escalator with Nyla.

I rolled my eyes, "Here this nigga go"

"Excuse him y'all but I missed you guys" Nyla said hugging us.

"Missed you too girl"

"Yooo where Chris and James big headed asses at?" Rodney asked

"I don't kn-"

"We right here nigga while u talking shit."

I turned around to see James and Chris walking up to us. Why do they both look fine asf right now, wtf am I thinking.

"Aww nigga it's all love" they dapped each other up.

"Is that my cute ass best friend?" James came up to me, hugging me. Damn he smell good.

"You always boosting my head up best friend."

"I mean he ain't lying" Chris said smirking. Mmm boy you don't even what I would do to you.

"Don't be flirting with her" Mia said, rolling her eyes.

I shook my head and went to hug him. He wrapped his arms around my waist and had his head in the crook of my neck. I pulled away before Mia started trippin out about how long the hug was.

"Damn you really missed his light bright ass" Rodney mumbled.

Nyla nugged him to stop and Chris and Mia hugged and talked.

James nugged me, "You good?"

"Yeah just thinking."

"Tell me what's on your mind" He said, wrapping his arm over my shoulder.

"You'll find out later, lets just enjoy today."

He nodded his head as we walked into Shoe palace.

"These nice as fuck, AYE YOU, COME HERE" Rodney yelled at one of the workers.

"Uh yeah what you need?"

"I need these in a size 12" He handed him the green retro 12s.

The worker walked off to the back to find the size.

"You didn't not have to yell at him like that. Got people looking at us crazy and shit." Nyla fussed.

"He heard me, did he not? Ok then."

I shook my head and sat down on one of the little benches. Mia came and sat next to me with some black air force ones in her hand.

"I think I want theses I'm not sure th-"

"Can I help you with anything?" I looked up to see this tall chocolate man standing in front of me.

"I know this nigga did not just cut me off" Mia spoke.

"My bad miss, I just wanted to know if I can get yo number" he said not one time losing eye contact with me.

"I-"

"I JuSt wAnTed tO kNoW iF i CaN gEt yO nUmBer. Ugh" Mia mocked him, walking away.

"Don't mind h-"

"What y'all talking bout" Chris said sitting next to me, throwing his arm over my shoulder.

"If one more person cut me off I swear."

"Didn't look like he was doing his job so I make sure you was good." He said, looking him up and down.

"Imma go help the young lady over there."

"Yeah you go do dat."

He smiled at me and walked away. I didn't notice his dimples till now but someone just had to cock block.

"You did not have to do that."

"That nigga need to focus on tying shoes and shit, not tryna get at you."

I shook my head.

After about 2 hours going to different stores, we decided to come to the food court and get Panda express.

I pulled Mia to the side, "I think we should tell them now."

She nodded her head. Everyone sat down at the table.

I cleared my throat, "Um..we have something to tell y'all."

"Y'all pregnant. I knew it, y'all looked a little chuncky a-"

"Rodney really" Nyla said, hitting him.

I slightly rolled my eyes, "We're moving to New york next week... That's why we wanted all of us to hang out this weekend."

"How long have y'all known?" Chris asked.

"A week" me and Mia mumbled.

"Why would y'all just now tell us man" James said frustrated.

Mia spoke, "We've been really busy getting ready for it so this was the best time to tell you guys."

"Well on the real, Imma miss y'all, y'all like little sisters to me man." Rodney said.

"Aww Rodney we gon miss you too big brother." I leaned over and hugged him and so did Mia.

Nyla started to tear up, "You guys are my best friends and I'm really gonna miss y'all. Love you guys."

"No don't cry we love you too and you know we emotional" I said as me and Mia got up to hug her.

I sat down and looked over at James and Chris. They sat there with these sad but blank expression on their faces.

"Best friend?" Mia said to Chris.

He stood up and opened his arms, "Come here man."

She walked up to him and he hugged her real tight. They hugged for a cool minute and then he pulled away.

"I just wanna say that imma miss you so much munchkin and I love you so much. Don't let no nigga or female disrespect you out there ight? Imma always be your best friend no matter what so don't cheat on me." He chuckled and kissed her forehead.

As she explained how much she was gonna miss him, I tapped James. He looked up at me with sadness in his eyes. I stood up and pulled him towards the bathroom area.

"You ok?"

"You don't understand how I feel right now."

"Well help me understand, not telling me isn't gonna help" I said holding his hands.

He looked me in my eyes, "I'm in love with you Liyah."
