Liyah
"Liyah get your ass up." My mom stood by my door with her hands on her hips.
"But, I don't wanna gooo." Today was the first day of school and I really did not want to go to this new school.
"Look, I understand. New school, new people but, I need to go handle some things with your father so get up or get left." With that she walked out of my room.
Huffing and puffing, I got up and got ready, doing my hygiene stuff. Done getting ready, I went to Mia's room seeing if she was awake.
"Knock knock hoe. You up?"
I walked into her room."Huh?" She mumbled, still sleep.
I looked at my phone, "Bitch it's school today and you got 40 minutes to be up and ready or in mother's words, your ass is getting left."
"Oh shit. Oh shit. I totally forgot." She got up, running to the bathroom.
"I know we in a rush but wash ya ass, we ain't in that much of a rush."
"First off, I took a shower last night, secondly, I need to do my makeup so we gon be late regardless."
"Girl you are naturally pretty, you don't need it."
"I appreciate that, but we are in New York at a new school. I need to be beat as fuck."
Thinking about the fact that I had on makeup, I nodded, "You right, you right."
Waiting for forever and a day, she finally came out the bathroom.
"Y'all better be ready because we're leaving!" My mom yelled from downstairs.
We both ran downstairs, knocking my brother over.
"Move nigglet."
"All in the way, dang." Mia said.
"Damn, y'all hit me." Terrell said, rubbing his head.
"Watch ya mouth and let's go." We all walked out of the house to the car.
"I can't wait to get my own car." I mumbled.
"Trust me, me too." My mom said, getting in the car.

We finally got to the school. Freeman High. I looked out the window at all the kids going in, smoking, laughing, and arguing.
"Are you going to get out or sit there stuck?" Terrell said.
I mugged him, "Shut the hell up."
"Y'all got one more time to cuss in front of me, I swear. Now get on into school, I love y'all."
"Love you too." We said in unison.
Hopping out the car, I waited till we were all out of the car. Sighing, I knew this was going to be quite a day and I was prepared, I think.
"Come on." Mia said happily, pulling me towards the school.
As we walked in, I can feel and see the stares. As usual, people are going to think I'm a bitch or stuck up because of my resting bitch face but, do I care? No.
"I'm going to ask someone where the office is." Mia, suggested.
"Um no. We'll find our way around." I said, turning that idea down immediately.
"Girl if you want to be anti, you go do that by yourself but I'm not about to be a deer in headlights because you-"
I cut her off, "Ok ok. Shut up and ask."
