Aimee was perfect. There wasn't a man or woman alive who didn't drop at her feet. She was funny, smart, and captivating. She had long red hair that hung in loose waves down her back and bright green eyes that held onto a million secrets. She was just taller than me at 5' 8" and mostly leg. Aimee was everyone's weakness.  "This has to work." Andrew said, racing through the streets. "We are risking not only our asses but Aimee's as well." He took a sharp turn, the road turned to gravel. I was flooded by memories as we pulled up to the plantation house. Aimee stood outside the gate, dressed in all black. Andrew barely stopped for her to get into the car.

"I'll admit. This isn't exactly how I imagined our reunion." She said, wrapping her arms around me and the seat of the car. "Hi my love." Andrew was speeding away again.

"I owe you one Aims." I said. "I've missed you."

"Anything for a little adventure." She said. "You guys aren't going to stop anywhere right? This town is crawling with mob men. Ever since you guys left they have been everywhere." I stared aimlessly out the window. "So what's the plan?"

"We need you to get Ethan to fall in love with you." Andrew said bluntly, taking a hard curve.

"It's a little more complex than that." I said, rolling my eyes. "Ethan is fixated on me because he believes I am the reason his dad is dead."

"Which you are." Aimee and Drew said in unison.

"Okay, thanks guys. Anyways, I've been reading in my psychology class that fixations are powerful motivators, but people with obsessive fixated tendencies tend to only be able to fixate on one thing at a time." I explained.

"Okay..." Aimee pushed for me to continue.

"So, if we can transfer his fixation, he'll leave us  alone. And if he is fixated on you, he'll have reason to come back to Manmonth."

"As much as I don't want a creepy man ruining your life, I don't want him ruining mine either." Aimee sighed, flopping back in the seat.

"We thought about that already." Andrew said. "Are you still trying to leave Manmonth?"

"Who isn't?" Aimee asked.

"Well, if we can make this work, just for this year, we're heading to Europe." Drew said. Aimee's eyes lit up.

"What? For real?"

"Yeah. We have been talking and it's not realistic for us to stay in the states. Not when Dylan will always be after us, but we can't do anything if we don't finish school." I elaborated.

"Okay..." Aimee's voice faded off, "I just don't know about this."

"We can make it work, and keep you safe. I'm friends with the FBI agent..." I tried.

"What's to say that Ethan doesn't already know who I am?" Aimee said. Andrew slammed on the brakes.

"We didn't think about that." He muttered.

"We have to try." I almost begged. "And if it doesn't work it doesn't work and we can go back to the drawing board."

"Well, I'm for whatever gets me out of my step-monster's house." Aimee said. "Plus I can't wait to meet this Luke boy."

"Okay!" I said. Andrew looked less convinced.

"Okay..." He muttered, starting the car forward again.

"How's mom?" Aimee asked, stretching herself along the back seat.

"She's floating through." I said honestly. "We really haven't talked much since the move. She works all the time, keeps her busy."
